Praying for friend's salvation and from follwing in to discouragement

He hears you. He hears it all. Can't tell you why He doesn't respond more often, but He hears you.

I've been praying for my friend (William), who deeply hurt me but I understood he needs the Lord, for 8 months. and I've been going in and out of discouragement, right now he got back in a toxic relationship. This almost makes me wonder if the Lord's hears me, I know he does but I feel so tired.

Is there any prayers I could say to help, for his salvation and my doubt. Or if anyone has dealt with the same situation.

You may find that your prayers are being answered. God respects man's free will. God will allow people to suffer the consequences of their own bad choices. Then they may be more receptive to the gospel. We have recently had contact with a young woman we led to the Lord six years ago. She got offended and left our fellowship. Her life has gone pear shaped since. She's about to lose her home, her daughter is a nightmare and she has few friends. Now she has come back seeking help. We welcome her back, but we also want to help her with the attitude problems that got her into the mess in the first place.

Ask God to open your friend's eyes to see that he is a sinner and that only Jesus can save him.

Praying.

Asking Yahweh to remove the blinders from his mind and let him see the wonderful news of Christ. "...for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God."

Try to not take on others' burdens where you can't really help. If someone makes bad choices that does not mean your prayers were not heard. The Heavenly Father may reach down and try to help people, and He does so constantly, but if they don't want to be helped He will leave them their free will, free choices.

"Cast your burdens on YHWH" aka the Lord. You have prayed for him. I will, too. But pray for yourself for peace. I will too.

I know I shouldn't. It's just a shame because he sounded like he was getting better until she came in his life. He acts differently now, not himself. He's self-aware, but she's like a drug (i suppose that's the best comparison). But I know I need to step back, for now, hopefully, the Lord will protect him and let him come into the truth.

The Lord is not willing that any perish, but we all have our free will to make the right choice. Praying your friend comes to the Lord, and his new friend too. God bless.
