i believe that your calling is what God placed in your heart to do along with the talents and opportunities to carry it out. If you have been called to do something then God will place it in your heart to do and bring you there through thick and thin.
He called me to counsel/support hurting young people so i studied to become a youth worker. i finished my schooling and got a job working with hurting people. All seemed fine when i fell ill and couldn't work any more.
For years i despaired my calling for i was shut up at home with no ability to do anything about it. Then God opened other doors to support often times deeply hurting people, and the many years of hardship and struggle had taught me even far more about where to direct people to find help in time of need. So i did get my calling right, just the ways through which i was going to do that changed.
