• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

You may want to try a medical doctor who practices integrative medicine which means they incorporate nutrition, supplements, and other things like acupuncture to heal the body. Because they are more "open minded" so to speak, you will probably have more success with one of those types of M.D.'s.

Get a copy of Paul C. Bragg's "Miracle of Fasting" (online somewhere I'm sure). It is called "the Bible of Health" by many in the health culture movement. Lots of good stuff in there that might be helpful.

Starting out healthy and loosing it after many years might be a sign of a food intolerance growing worse. I had the same thing though my troubles started in my twenties. After forty years of doctors coming up with answers that were wrong and did not help, one told me to go on a liquid diet for a few days then start added foods back one by one. I suggested this move after doing my own research.

In time I had a blood test that found Gluten in my blood and I got a diagnosis of Gluten Intolerance, I was 58 at the time. So I agree with those above, see doctors but also do your own homework.
