No, sometimes persecution will involve a social and spiritual dynamic more like this:

...of course, some folks will think I'm nuts for saying so! But I don't think I am.

I think some of the problem here is that IF the Bible is true, then persecution can and does happen in various sizes, shapes and forms, AND this is quite apart from the fact that any one of us may be on a continuum of mental/emotional stability. There's an old saying, "Just because I'm crazy doesn't mean they're not out to get me!" Sometimes, the face of persecution and the methods by which it is done are more insidious than overt. Not everything in the world will look like either Nero or Hitler. No, sometimes persecution will involve a social and spiritual dynamic more like this:

Well............yes, there are all those kinds of things, but I had more in mind the rather elusive and sometimes deeply installed political sentiments of intrigue involved in what C.S. Lewis would call "bad philosophy."

But yeah, you're right! Various pretenses by non-Christians to do sorcery don't help anything either; sometimes it actually carries along the "bad philosophy" to places and people it wouldn't have otherwise influenced. o_O

1. Are there any Christians on this forum that have experienced this type of persecution ?

and

2. What are some ways to combat / Deal with these types of persecution ?

Yes, I have and I honestly don’t think they knew why they were doing it (this happened at a workplace). When Jesus Christ and David said: John 15:25 & Palms 38:19
I know exactly what they meant.

The workplace I was at never took me seriously when I was trying to move up in the company. I was ignored and disliked by many there without reason. This happened to me throughout my life, I believe God was calling me out of the world.

What does God say to deal with this? Be gentle as doves and wise as serpents; combat this through love as we are called to love even our enemies. :yellowheart:

Fine tuning what you allow into your mind (and imagination) might progress you to where you want to be also. Not saying you should quit watching these things but fine-tune your filters to align with God’s perspective. To my mind (not having a clue as to the movie) that suggests you bowing to Nebecanezer

Interesting! Do you now work from home or at a church?

Oh I’m a housewife, for now. I’m originally from Canada, but in transition in becoming an American. Legally I cannot work yet.

My approved movie selection is very select and very very small, i watch a lot of the same movies over and over again, stuff i grew up with mainly and know very very well, am very familiar with, (no surprises, etc) and i don't really do it that often either, don't watch regular tv at all anymore, hate adds and commercials, think most of them are evil, etc...

But yeah, I believe Tolkien put that in there from probably what he knew about Nebuchadnezzar, etc... He was a Christian after all...

But no, no bowing, trust me...

God Bless!

I’ve always been curious about ole Neb being referred to as king of kings: maybe Jesus has taken us all captive and we just don’t know it?

The phrase king of kings is used in Scripture six times. Once, the title is applied to God the Father (1 Timothy 6:15), and twice to the Lord Jesus (Revelation 17:14; 19:16). The other three (Ezra 7:12; Ezekiel 26:7; Daniel 2:37) refer to either Artaxerxes or Nebuchadnezzar, kings who used the phrase to express their absolute sovereignty over their respective realms (Persia and Babylon). The phrase lord of lords is used by itself in Scripture twice and refers to God the Father (Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalms 136:3).

What does it mean that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords? | GotQuestions.org

I went in to a pizza place to use the restroom and found a phone. I tried to turn it into the store manager but no one was available. So I left the pizza place with the phone and tracked down the owner of the phone and returned it to the owner. It belonged an employee who left it in the bathroom. He lost it and I returned it to him. I was banshied form the store.

Here's An Example : One time I went to the gym and 3 People walked into the gym together after me and they were all wearing the exact same thing that I was (Green Sweatshirt and Grey Sweat Pants) and I had a witness who also saw this happen.
Or you were wearing the exact same thing they were. Maybe they were freaked out as well?

Unfortunately, that's the way it's designed to look like / work.

The Stasi Secret Police in 1950's Germany would actually attack people that they thought were threats to the state by orchestrating and mimicking mental illness to discredit the person. Kind of like the movie The Truman Show.

.
Well then, you’re in luck. I am not part of any surveillance apparatus. You’re just seeing conspiracy in coincidences, which is a sign of paranoia, I.e. a mental illness, likely schizophrenia.

But how is wearing the same color gym clothes psychological torture?
How would they know what he was wearing to the gym?

Think that is the issue he's implying

It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when it happens every day to you for years and is mixed with other things it starts to negatively effect you.

.
How can we tell it's not your social interaction and behavior which is irritating them? Putting aside who is in the right and who is in the wrong...

From my workplace experience most people know the law, they can't outright punch another person in the face if they don't like another coworker. When other people at work share a similar experience with one specific coworker over time, they can eventually group up an opt for mind games so they don't lose their job. Basically if something you do and say bothers other people, they will bother you right back in ways they can't be prosecuted by the law.

Habit? Like I have my favorite clothes that I wear, sometimes this could be predictable.
sure, let's say so, still why aren't they minding their own business? Why are they making his attire theirs? Think he feels that his privacy & anonymity are being violated?
