They should have stuck to the old formula instead of squeezing as much sweet syrup into it they can as with other sodie pops. I remember when there was real lasting fizz and flavour instead of being a sickly sweet mess that no longer barely bubbles. You good buy a gallon and it would stay good for weeks once initially opened. But congrats A&W. You've stayed truer to your original menu and product than all the others. Bring back the carhops (so we don't have to get out of the handivan)

Never was a big fan of A&W.. expect when I used to go to this one KFC as a kid. They served fresh A&W from the tap and it was so good.
One time I got A&W from a tap, but after a couple sips I was confused by the flavor. I kept having images of corn bread. Then I realized it was a similar flavor to when I would put syrup onto corn bread as a child (I don’t really like syrup). I couldn’t drink it after that and just brought it home and gave it to my dad.
Generally I like A&W though. I guess their mixture was a bit off, or my taste buds were extra sensitive that day.
A&W is the best for root beer floats. :)

Has anyone tried A&W flavored candy before?

Edit: I realized I’ve already told that story about the A&W fountain on CF before. Oops. ^_^ It’s one of those experiences I can’t forget.

Yes I have! Love their hard candy shaped like barrels! The licorice twists are alright too.

Maybe.. I lack a sense of smell.. so my sensation of taste has always been low.. so maybe fresh A&W provides me with a sensation of flavor more akin to people who drink regular A&W but might be too powerful for people with a sense of smell?

Yeah, I think I tried some A&W Halloween candy before.

As far as root beer is concerned I always like Bargs.

They do! They're not that great imo. The hard candy is the best. I like root beer taffy. Idk if it's A&W specifically, just the root beer flavor.
