If we give up the gibberish, we'll have to defend Donald on the facts and on his own merits...
Shall we continue the gibberish, or break out the guillotine now?
Supporting Trump as if he was God is gibberish.
I think we will find that, as the testimony is viewed in real-time, the corruption will become so apparent, that even dyed-in-the-wool Republicans will have to acknowledge that “running the Government like a business” sounds a lot better than what happens in the real world.I get an ominous feeling regarding this whole impeachment fiasco. The enemy has succeeded in the extreme polarization of American in nearly every way possible, especially in terms of politics. People take politics WAY too seriously now; it completely rules their lives, and they can't stand nor tolerate the opinions of others who disagree with them. A good amount of posts and new threads on CF now are either for or against Trump, which I think reflects the general mentality of the country. Even a recent, lighthearted thread a friend started about Donald Duck ended up spiraling into a series of attacks against Donald Trump instead.
If we're not careful, this will lead to an eventual civil war in the country. Many Christians have also been receiving warnings from God regarding the start of the push for impeachment. Don't play into the enemies hand. Politics are important, but don't let it rule or control your life.
Not that new, they’ve been around since the 70’s. There was just a long period where fighting against fascists wasn’t seen as a Democrat-Republican conflict.

I bet the guys at c-span are tickled pink. These will be the highest ratings they get since watergate.
Still newer than white supremacy...

Doesn't matter, God is warning for a reason. It's the extreme polarization and growing hostility that concerns me. It's not something to be ignored. No, I don't think a civil war is likely. Conservatives are losing ground culturally and are facing demographic shifts that will render them irrelevent. Younger people are not nearly as religious and are far more ethnically diverse.
Millennia of crying wolf tends to blunt the impact of such warnings.Doesn't matter, God is warning for a reason. It's the extreme polarization and growing hostility that concerns me. It's not something to be ignored.
All big things in DC happen on Wednesday.

Yep, once we deal with the immediate threat that Donald's presidency has presented, we need to come up with a plan to de-radicalize the GOP. I'm not sure how exactly to begin there, but the last few elections have been a start towards marginalizing them. With any luck the party leadership will act and move back towards the center. If not, society will need to continue to make sure that extremist views aren't tolerated.Doesn't matter, God is warning for a reason.
