THE REIGN OF ANTICHRIST

1260yrs.gif

ANTICHRIST IS MOVED EITHER FORWARD OR BACKWARD IN TIME

Ribera's Futurism Puts the Antichrist Into A Future Three and One-half Literal Years.
Alcazar's Preterism Identifies the Antichrist as Nero.
Both of Them Put Antichrist Outside the Middle Ages and the Reformation Period,
Identified by Protestant Historicists as Antichrist's Reign of 1260 Prophetic Years.

Now the truly amazing part of all this is that the Futurist theory dominates Protestant teaching today. About all you hear or read about today is the yet-to-appear antichrist, who will be unveiled in the last 3 1/2 years of Daniel's 70th week, when he declares himself to be God in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. That scenario, as you can now see, is directly traceable back to the pen of the Jesuit Francisco Ribera. Note what one Protestant writer had to say over one hundred years ago:

Next we come to consider the time of the rise of the Futurist system as we now have it, and the occasion which led to it.
So great a hold did the conviction that the Papacy was the Antichrist gain upon the minds of men, that Rome at last saw she must bestir herself, and try, by putting forth other systems of interpretation, to counteract the identification of the Papacy with the Antichrist.
Accordingly, towards the close of the century of the Reformation, two of her most learned doctors set themselves to the task, each endeavouring by different means to accomplish the same end, namely, that of diverting men's minds from perceiving the fulfilment of the prophecies of the Antichrist in the Papal system. The Jesuit Alcasar devoted himself to bring into prominence the Preterist method of interpretation, which we have already briefly noticed, and thus endeavoured to show that the prophecies of Antichrist were fulfilled before the Popes ever ruled in Rome, and therefore could not apply to the Papacy. On the other hand the Jesuit Ribera tried to set aside the application of these prophecies to the Papal Power by bringing out the Futurist system, which asserts that these prophecies refer properly not to the career of the Papacy, but to that of some future supernatural individual, who is yet to appear, and to continue in power for three and a half years. Thus, as Alford says, the Jesuit Ribera, about A.D. 1580, may be regarded as the Founder of the Futurist system in modern times.
It is a matter for deep regret that those who hold and advocate the Futurist system at the present day, Protestants as they are for the most part, are thus really playing into the hands of Rome, and helping to screen the Papacy from detection as the Antichrist. It has been well said that "Futurism tends to obliterate the brand put by the Holy Spirit upon Popery." More especially is this to be deplored at a time when the Papal Antichrist seems to be making an expiring effort to regain his former hold on men's minds. Now once again, as at the Reformation, it is especially necessary that his true character should be recognized, by all who would be faithful to "the testimony of Jesus."

From Daniel and the Revelation: The Chart of Prophecy and Our Place In It, A Study of the Historical and Futurist Interpretation, by Joseph Tanner, published in London by Hodder and Stoughton, 1898, pages 16,17.

In what could only be described as a stunning reversal, Protestants have over time actually become the papacy's greatest ally by spreading its Jesuit spawned propaganda. What irony that Protestants, who originally broke away from what they clearly recognized to be the harlot antichrist led church of prophecy, now champion the Futurist interpretation from high profile global ministries. Futurism has without doubt, been successful beyond the wildest dreams of its Jesuit authors. The same can be said for the Preterist interpretation of Luis De Alcazar, although to a lesser degree.

An appallingly abject deficiency of both full preterism and futurism is their denial and rejection of the Reformation.

Those of the futurist camp are not above declaring it to be an error.

Such are the arrogance and ignorance regarding history which characterize said camp.

But then, it is only paying obeisance to its godfather:

John Nelson Darby
"I do not admit history to be, in any sense, necessary to the understanding of prophecy."

In other words, "It is now I who am necessary to the understanding of prophecy".

No cult has ever issued a more supercilious declaration.

Benjamin Wills Newton, who was one of the early Brethren leaders in Plymouth said He had never heard Darby say anything that a Papist would not say,and that he thought Darby was sent by the papists to spy on the Evangalicals for the papists. He also said he thought Darby was a Jesuit.

The glorious reformation was a great work of God. It was similar to the Exodus. God set the true church free from the dead wood of Romanism.
And Rome set the Jews free from the burden and dead wood of OC Judaism, Temple services and the corrupt Jewish Priesthood/Rulers.......

Luke 21:
20 Whenever yet ye may be perceiving being compassed by armies/hosts, Jerusalem, then be ye knowing that has-neared<1448> the Desolating of Her.
28 Beginning yet these-things to be becoming, up-bend ye! and lift-up! the heads of ye, thru-that is nearing<1448> the deliverance/redemption<629> of ye.

Romans 13:
11 And this knowing the time, that hour it-is already out of sleep to be roused, for now nearer<1452> of us the Salvation than when we believed.
12 The Night progresses, the yet Day is nigh<1448>.
We should be putting off then the works of the Darkness, we should be putting on the implements of the Light.

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD
Proof that Matthew 24 was fully fulfilled in 70 AD!

The Temple now presented little more than a heap of ruins ; and the Roman army as in triumph on the event, came and reared their ensigns against a fragment of the eastern gate, and, with sacrifices of thanksgiving, proclaimed the imperial majesty of Titus, with every possible demonstration of joy.

Thus terminated the glory and existence of this sacred and venerable Edifice, which from its stupendous size, its massy solidity, and astonishing strength, seemed formed to resist the most violent operations of human force, and to stand, like the pyramids, amid the shocks of successive ages, until the final dissolution of the globe. [12]

For five days after the destruction of the Temple, the priests who had escaped, sat, pining with hunger, on the top of one of its broken walls; at length, they came down, and humbly asked the pardon of Titus, which, however, he refused to grant them, saying, that, "as the Temple, for the sake of which he would have spared them, was destroyed, it was but fit that its priests should parish also:" -whereupon he commanded that they should be put to death.

Do I really have to explain it to you?

You brought up the dead wood/yoke of Romanism.

I brought up the dead wood/yoke of OC corrupt 1st century Temple Judaism.
That was wiped out in 70AD by the Romans. [Centuries later, Rome got wiped out]

John 11:48 "If ever we may be letting Him thus, all shall be believing into Him, and shall be coming the Romans and they shall be taking away of Us and the Place and the Nation."[Revelation 13:10]

Matthew 23:4 "For They are binding burdens, weighty and ill-bearing. And they are on-placing upon the shoulders of the men, to the yet finger of them, not are willing to move them".

Acts 20:29 "For I have-perceived this. That shall be entering after the departure of Me, wolves[circumcision group] weighty into ye, no sparing of-the shepherded/flock/"

Revelation 13:10 [Luke 21:24]

If any in sword to be killed, is binding him in sword to be killed.

After 2000 yrs, Jerusalem is still without a Temple and Sanctuary.

Could it be that perhaps Yahweh doesn't desire for the Jews to have those built again?
According to some views in Christianity, there is a view that a future Temple must be built to fulfill various OT and NT prophecies.
What are others views on this?

Here is a passage in Jeremiah concerning Yawheh and the Ark of the Covenant:

Jeremiah 3:
15 I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16 It shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days," says Yahweh,
"they shall say no more, 'The Ark of the Covenant of Yahweh!'
neither shall it come to mind;
neither shall they remember it;
neither shall they miss it;
neither shall it be made any more.

In the Christian Book of Revelation, it actually shows the Sanctuary of the GOD in heaven:

Revelation 11:19
And opened was the Sanctuary<3485> of God in the heaven,
and there was seen the Ark of His Covenant in His Sanctuary,
and there did come lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail
.

Isn't the dome set upon the site of the Fort Antionia?

Location of Fort Antonia

Temple Mount View from the West

I have already established that Josephus wrote that Fort Antonia was located on the highest hill. There are a few more key questions that when answered will tell us the exact location of Fort Antonia. The best way to understand where the fort was located is to read through Josephus' account.

1. How big was the temple compound and Fort Antonia altogether?
