Romans 10:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So, there you have it.

All you need to do to be saved.

You can not confess Jesus unless you believe in your heart. And if you can not confess Jesus in your heart you do not believe in Jesus or of Jesus.

This is proof God makes you a believer, you do not make your self a believer, its a gift.

Romans 10 :9,10 is not a salvation to eternal life verse Romans 10 :9,10 is speaking about the salvation of a believer, when that believer calls out to the Lord for help.

Romans 10:14 states that it is believing that gives eternal life not confessing.
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

See Romans 10:14 states how can they call (the confessing of Romans 10:9,10) if a person has not believed.
It is believing and becoming a believer, that Jesus is the promised Messiah from The Old Testament prophecies and gives eternal life to anyone who trust in the Messiah for His gift of His eternal life. Then a believer can call (confess a vocal cry out ) for salvation (help)

Many Jews at that time were believers but were believers in silent (John 12:42,43)
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

So now God is saying believers if you want salvation (help) from Me in times of trouble. You will need to become a focal believer and not a silent believer.

If Romans 10:9,10 is used as a eternal life salvation for an unbeliever. Then a person (using Romans 10:9,10) is making confession part of receiving eternal life and not believing, trust, faith.

What I'm saying is Romans 10:9-10 is not a sacrament we must perform in the flesh to be saved. It is something saved people do because they are born again.

I think many false converts that think they have done that will be fooled when someday they are told I never knew you.

Any person has the ability to believe (in something) Belief is a gift that every person has.
But the Bible states that eternal life is a gift from God and actually a free gift. That is acquired when a person believes the message of The Gospel of John

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Like just saying "Jesus is Lord" like it says this in this verse in other translations. It gives the vibe that all you have to do is say this to be saved? I notice that you are Calvinist. How do Calvinist believe? What is being saved to a Calvinist?

I've heard works-salvationists misinterpret Romans 10:9,10 in such a way to mean that we can "believe unto righteousness" today (but are still lost until we confess Christ) which may be next week and then we are finally saved next week, but that is not what Paul is talking about here. Also, someone who is moot (unable to speak) would remain lost according to that erroneous interpretation of Romans 10:9,10 for failing to "verbally confess with their mouth."

Confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead are not two separate steps to salvation but are chronologically together. Romans 10:8 - But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart" (TOGETHER) that is, the word of faith which we are preaching. Notice the reverse order from verse 9-10 - that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confess/believe; believe/confess.

1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except BY the Holy Spirit. There is divine influence or direct operation of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a person when confessing Jesus as Lord. This confession is not just a simple acknowledgment that Jesus is the Lord (even the demons believe that), but is a deep personal conviction that Jesus is that person's Lord and Savior. So simply believing in our head (and not in our heart) that God raised Him from the dead does not result in righteousness and simply giving lip service to the words "Jesus is Lord" not by the Holy Spirit is not unto salvation.

Nichodemus asked of Jesus that same question.

I think we should stick with His answer.
