if you are a new beleiver, this is probably satan putting those bad thoughts in your mind, trying to make you think they are YOUR thoughts. This is exactly what happened to me when I became a new beleiver.

I heard that if you swear at god in your mind or anywhere that you will die is this true?

God is more concerned about your heart than your words. But keep your words clean. And your not going to die. God knows your heart. scripture says if your heart condemns you , God is greater than your heart. So have peace

remember you have an enemy. Satan. he and his demons will put thoughts in your mind, and his goal is to make you think they are your own thoughts. So keep that in mind as well

Kind of a stupid question but would this be a sin i became with god a 1 month ago
Could someone tell me how i could make this stop happening?

Well, ok, Think of it like this.

If you was a parent, and you might be, I DO NOT KNOW.

How would you fell if your children, or every one, used your name as a curse and knew it was you they where cursing for every event?

And you knew for years people where cursing you, even online, and every day there was a post about you and your cursing.

And some of the world hated you and your name, And this was the reason every one used it as a curse.

Think this every time you do it, then eventually you will stop doing it.

Replace the curse with a praise, and make it a habit to do so.

And what Chcana rose stated also.

Hi Jags, first off, the fact that your are concerned about your sin is a very good sign. Notice what A. W. Pink has to say about that at the bottom of this post.

Also, the Bible tells us a couple of things about sin and forgiveness that we all need to keep in mind.

Mark 3
28 Truly I say to you, ~all~ sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and ~whatever~ blasphemies they utter.

............... except one, the unpardonable sin .. and you did not commit that one :)

1 John 1
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

1 John 2
1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Take special note of the Apostle John's use of the word "we" in the passage above in his 1st Epistle. The reason that this is important is because the Apostle includes himself in these instructions as someone who still sins/still needs to ask God for forgiveness.

So when you sin, ask God to forgive you and take Him at His word, believing/knowing that He has, because He promised you that He would do so (and that, even if you don't happen to "feel" forgiven in the moment). And if you sin again, ask Him to forgive you again .. and He will :)

God bless you! (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; Hebrews 7:25)

--David
p.s. - a bad "thought-life" is a difficult thing to deal with as a Christian, but sadly, it happens to many of us. The final answer to a bad thought life is found in filling your mind with the word of God, and treasuring it in your heart* by learning it, knowing it/understanding it deeply .. Deuteronomy 11:18-21; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3, 119:9-11; Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17.

It's also necessary to take such thoughts "captive" as soon as you sense them coming on, and give them over to the Lord to deal with .. 2 Corinthians 10:5. If you do not "capture" them in time and you sin, just ask the Lord to forgive you, and knowing that He has, get back to your walk before Him .. cf Matthew 5:16.

quote-it-is-not-the-absence-of-sin-but-the-grieving-over-it-which-distinguishes-the-child-arthur-w-pink-70-74-09.jpg

*Scripture memorization is what finally freed me from my horrible and painful "thought-life", and got the stinky garbage that I brought along with me from my non-Christian days out of my mind. If you think you'd like to try it, PM me and I'll help you get started if you'd like. BTW, I'm talking about memorizing 1-2 topical verses per week, not the entire NT or Books or Chapters ;)

 Just repent when you're aware of it, and as it was mentioned several times already, God is more concerned with your heart. Praying Jags (((hug)))

"evil thoughts," "from the heart."

Mat 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Mat 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.
