The Serpent Was The First Activist In The Garden of Eden
In the story of creation it was the serpent in the Garden of Eden that tempted Eve to sin. The bible describes the serpent as the most clever animal in the Garden, it had an Ivy League intelligence.
But with all of this cleverness why didn't the serpent use his cleverness on other animals first, instead of mankind?
Why did the serpent seek out Eve to practice his 'wares' instead of other serpents?
It is clear that the serpent had a penchant to have others outside of his 'social economic class' demonstrate its theory about the 'forbidden tree' while keeping all other animals safely away from the known hazards of its 'false theory'.
The serpent already knew that God was right about the consequences of eating the 'forbidden tree' or else he would've had other serpents, including itself and/or other animals, eat the 'forbidden fruit' first before Adam and Eve.
Notice that while the serpent didn't possess the knowledge of Good and evil that existed in the forbidden tree it still has a penchant for deceit. Temptation is not a trait arising out from any Knowledge of Good or Evil which could offer resolution to any false claim. But temptation is a desire that renders any and all knowledge of Good and evil useless and mute.
If the Knowledge of Good and evil could produce a desire to do one or the other then God could be accused of tempting himself. The sin of mankind is that mankind now uses God's knowledge of Good and evil to tempt himself, and/or herself, into any and all sinful behavior emerging from a disobedient flesh.
Today we still have clever serpents intermingling with unsuspecting people in order to gain people's trust and then trick them into proving the serpent's false theories without any consequence to the serpent.
The Ivy league serpent that existed in the Garden of Eden is still with us today staying safely 'above the fray' of their false beliefs in the branches of the tree of obfuscation while dangling known 'forbidden fruit' from the branches of tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that now resides in everyone.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit who will be a constant companion to counter any clever serpent's false claims of utopia.
God Bless
