So we all want our leaders, and someone else, to solve our problems, but what is the duty of the average citizen regarding the pressing problems of our day. What are you going to do about them?

I like to follow this:

Focus on the things i can control and not let the things i cant control, get in the way.

The pressing problem of my day was to choose between apple pie and cherry. I opted for a half slice of each.

John Mayer

Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing and
There's no way we ever could
Now we see everything that's going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it

So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
It's hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change

Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door
And when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want

That's why we're waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
It's not that we don't care
We just know that the fight ain't fair
So we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
And we're still waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change

One day our generation
Is gonna rule the population
So we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
No we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)

Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change.

what is the duty of the average citizen regarding the pressing problems of our day

? The pressing problems of my day are if I run across anyone who needs help.

At the country level, to my eyes, the pressing problem is the deliberate dissemination of false information; so correcting and not contributing to that or electing people that do is #1 in my book.

If America wants to be great again, it's got to learn to love the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Otherwise, I don't know what side it's on, but it's not Christ's.

“For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice.”

So we all want our leaders, and someone else, to solve our problems,
Not really; the only problems I want our leaders to solve are the problems they create by passing stupid laws.
but what is the duty of the average citizen regarding the pressing problems of our day. What are you going to do about them?
I like to talk to people of which I disagree, and hopefully change their minds on issues, which hopefully will cause them to agree on issues I agree on, and elect leaders that I agree with.

Or we could,

Find out what the problems are.

Make sure we aren't part of them. :holy:
The other day a guy told me that if i were not outraged, that I have not been paying attention. I told him that he shouldn't assume his fight was my fight, because I could very well be a part of the system he finds outrageous.

Leaders aren't for solving problems, but rather getting people to work together on solving problems.

Hard to work together when there is no plan.

Hard to work together when there is no plan.

Did you want to actually accomplish something or did you want to complain?

The easiest form of leadership is to lead by example. Then you don't have to wait for "leaders" or "plans" to address problems you see around you.

You are contradicting yourself. Anyway I do set a great example. However I don't think anyone is watching. :(

Edit: And, not everyone is pleased with do gooders.
