Last one I encountered was making claims about "fringing on flags in courtrooms". which I found particularly funny since Australia doesn't typically HAVE flags in courtrooms, fringed or otherwise. Pointing this out to the idiot in question slowed the whaaargaaarbl down for about 30 seconds, but that was all.
You mean you didn't know all Australian judges are required to wear these?

Got it. Thanks for confirming that what Trump did wasn't any worse than a man walking into a men's locker room.

I thought you said consent wasn't necessary if he felt like a woman. Since a man's feeling about his gender is irrelevant to women being uncomfortable, what Trump did was no worse than a gender confused man walking into a woman's locker room.
IF he was using the facilities to get changed. He wasn't. So despite your convoluted twisting of my words, no, what he did was still wrong.

Why does that matter? How would Trump walking into a men's locker room to talk to guys and not using the facilities to get changed be any different?

I didn't say you said it wasn't wrong. I said if gender doesn't make a difference like you said, then Trump using a woman's locker room without getting changed, while wrong, isn't any more wrong than if he used a men's locker room without getting changed. Agreed?

Sure. Anyone going into a men's locker room for the purpose of oggling those within without their consent is just as wrong. What's your point?

I was just trying to clarify the exact problem but I think I understand it now. I don't believe Trump was oogling at anyone (we'll have to agree to disagree on that point) and other than that it doesn't appear he did anything wrong since you said the locker room being of the opposite sex was not a problem and that men who think they're a woman don't need to get consent so neither should Trump.

If he wasn't oggling anyone, what was he doing in there?

So mr. Trump was lying in the segment on Howard Stern when he himself admitted it?

Do you think it's a coincidence all these allegations against Trump, all of which are completely unproven, are occurring 3 weeks before the election? Do you really think a woman who alleges she was "sexually assaulted" would wait 20 years to get "justice" a few weeks before that person was about to be elected president? It's clear the elite are using the media to rig the election to help Hillary win. I wonder how much Hilary, the media, and the elites paid these women to make these false accusations. I wish more people had enough critical thinking skills to see what's happening.

We need to stand up and tell them NO YOU CAN'T! We must not listen to gossip meant to slander another person's reputation (Ro 1:29 - "God gave them over to a depraved mind... They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters)" We must do all we can to stop a pro-abortionist from becoming president to protect innocent children from being ruthlessly slaughtered. We must not allow someone who will appoint activist judges to the Supreme Court to destroy our religious freedom. The future of our country is at stake. We need to do the right thing and help Trump win. Make sure to spread the message, expose their lies, and vote Trump in November so we can Make America Great Again!

that's how it works.
So they "wanted" it because of his "greatness"? What other things do you think they would let him do because of his celebrity?

Do you think they would have agreed with that if asked?

It is possible if it meant winning the contest.

Often that is how it works,
in this thing called life.

Some or many are willing to climb over dead bodies to reach their goal/get what they want.

Pretending otherwise is not cricket.

That's correct. It doesn't bother me at all. Would you be okay with Trump entering their changing room if he identified as a woman?
If he were entered into the contest as contestant also changing into a bathing suit same as they were, yes, that would be ok, but not as an old guy fully dressed coming in just to gawk at their nakedness and "inspect" them because he "could".

If individuals make the decision to do so, then that is their business - it's their lives, their bodies, etc.

My post was more concerned with those whose consent was neither sought nor provided.

Looking back through this thread, it's kinda funny how naive we still were just a month out before the election. We really thought we were better than this.

Also, what happened to like half the posters in here? I see hardly anyone from here that still frequently posts.

I remember when Donald Trump, Jr. said that his father never really believed that Obama was born in Kenya but that it was a sure way to pick up a key constituency (i.e. racists).

While he harps about the "elites," he's playing his base for suckers.

Yes, I'm from the East Coast and share the politics of the "elite." If I speak to you in a respectful manner, it's because I respect you, not because I am showing off my knowledge.

The "elites" are people like DJT who think that federal employees don't need their paychecks over the Christmas holidays because they have never had to cash in their piggy banks to pay the bills.

You don't really have to read minds if you listen to what comes out of their mouths.

That is interesting. And what are we learning since then? Because of alleged collusion with Russians in the election, Trump used that basis to call, "Lock her up!" and slant the election with this accusation to win the election, such collusion being the very thing he has to be investigated for, for compelling reasons. And the controversies with him then were not the last, with still ongoing controversies. Yet he had a following like a cult, that he persuaded not to believe any of the news, except through one media that wouldn't be what he called full of fake news, so such followers would not even see the full news. This has a horrible process away from democracy in our society.

VirOptimus said:

Oh, we wouldn't want to think Mr. Trump lies generally. But we know more after the couple of years since then.

People will believe what they WANT to believe. I would recommend not staying with the claim that Trump made 1,950 untrue claims when there is at least one other anti-Trump source that claims it's over 7,000.

That ought to make any unhappy Clinton voter happier than a mere 1,950. And it also makes a bigger splash when said confidently to anyone who doesn't spend a lot of time counting words for a hobby.

Well...to be fair, after 2,000 lies counting is sort of beside the point isn't it? It's sort of like saying, "It's -10 outside, that means it's cold." and someone else chimes in with. "Well -10 may be cold to you but -20 is even colder!" The point wasn't which one was colder, the point was it's cold. the same with the lies President Trump has told: whether it's 2,000 or 7,000 that's an awful lot of lying!.
tulc(is sorry about the weather analogy, but he's looking at the forecast for Wed here in Chicago and it's calling for a "high" of -14 with a chill factor of -65) :bbrr:

People will believe what they WANT to believe.

Kind of an ironic statement given what followed.

I would recommend not staying with the claim that Trump made 1,950 untrue claims when there is at least one other anti-Trump source that claims it's over 7,000.

Oh that is hilarious. The 1950 number is what the Washington Post (a real newspaper) reported on Jan. 2nd 2018. That is after his first year in office. The ~7,000 number is also from the Washington Post (a real newspaper) and was for two years in office. The fact checker has also been going back and looking at more claims over the entirety of his presidency.

Just in case anyone missed it, the Washington Post (a real newspaper) in both of those cases is the same one. You also have to love the characterization of any media outlet concerned with facts is "anti-Trump".

That ought to make any unhappy Clinton voter happier than a mere 1,950. And it also makes a bigger splash when said confidently to anyone who doesn't spend a lot of time counting words for a hobby.

And there we have it folks. If you're worried about facts and whether the President is a serial liar, you're an "unhappy Clinton voter" and you're a loser for counting words "for a hobby". Why are you losers so worried about whether Trump lies or not???
