UPDATE BY ORIGINAL POSTER-About a week ago, I was laying in bed as I was about to sleeping single in a double bed and prayed again about this matter. About 20% of the prayer was about He causing my wife to see the errors of her ways and the rest was for Him to give me the ability to have patience with His time frame in resolving this. The very next day she texted me telling me what she did was wrong and she was sorry. Thank you God for your answer!

Praise God! That is awesome to hear. May your marriage get even stronger because of what you both have experienced. :)

So you lean more towards the Religious answer then? No fault in that......like your thoughts about people being hurt by words.......most people are religious.

But there are a few spiritual........and they are not hurt by words........for the one in them who is capable of being hurt.....has been crucified.

I hope you find the answers you seek and are comforted by them....

That seems a little absurd, of course words hurt. That’s not being religious that’s being a human. Is a person that feels verbally abused religious? I don’t know where you got that from but both science and the Bible agree that words are powerful.

Words are not powerful.......your thoughts and beliefs are. If you are taught and believe that a word is good, you feel good and happy inside when you hear it. If you are taught that a word is bad, you feel negative when you hear them. The same words said in an unknown tongue, makes you feel nothing. Likewise, if you choose to not view any words as good or bad....you feel nothing.

There is nothing wrong with your desiring to have you mood and feelings be dictated by the sounds you hear and groups of letters you read.

Yet I feel it wiser to be the master of your own thoughts and feelings....by guarding your heart and mind.

My words are for those who desire to be more than human.
