Father, show this one that emotional control, peace, patience, and comfort are not things that You just bestow upon people through answered prayer, but through faith in You, Your character, Your past dealings with people, and especially through faith in Your written Word (Romans 10:17). These things come through an application of reading Your Word, coming to know You better, placing our trust in You, and interacting with Your spirit. 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18; Colossians 3:16; Psalms 119:11; Isaiah 55:6; Matthew 7:7. Amen.
