1 Corinthians 2:10, 13 These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

God moved heaven and earth to save His people. He took on flesh, John 1:14 shed His blood, resurrected, ascended to heaven, and even now watches over us through the Holy Spirit. Even so, many people misunderstand salvation.

1. What are the incorrect views of salvation? Things that are not salvation
1) Thinking that having a religion brings salvation. John 3:1-10 Religion is manmade; therefore, it is not the Gospel. Though they have good intentions, the good deeds of the unsaved cannot truly be good or lead to salvation. It is like a man on a pirate ship. All deeds, good or bad, are in service to piracy.
2) Thinking that enrolling in and attending church (The church building) is proof of being saved. As Jesus said, simply attending church is ineffective. Matthew 12:43-45 and only piles up more burdens.
3) Thinking that diligence is the standard of measurement for salvation. Remember the zeal of the Pharisees? Are not Buddhists also zealous? The result of this zeal is only emptiness and failure. Disappointment
4) Misunderstanding that salvation can be gained through strong convictions. (Philosophies) These convictions bring ridiculous results, and when you are alone, you feel like a failure.
5) Thinking that salvation can be gained by memorizing and reciting religious writings and chants, and by praying. These produce only temporary, external change, never internal change. Jesus explains the solution and invites those suffering under “religious” living to come to Him. Matthew 11:28-30

2. Then, what is the state of being saved?
1) there is inner (Spiritual) change.
2) The Holy Spirit dwells within you and governs you.
3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life. Romans 8:2 You cannot enter God’s kingdom unless you are born again by water and the Holy Spirit. John 3:3-5
4) The Holy Spirit, the Truth, can neither leave you or nor be cast out from you. John 14:16-17
5) When you understand the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the following evidence come:
(1) the Holy spirit meets the requirements of salvation and fulfils the law. Roman 8:2,4,9
(2) you come to know God’s will, blessings, and grace. 1 Corinthians 2:10-14
(3) you come to know that you are God’s temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16
(4) the Holy Spirit fixes the things that are incorrect. Galatians 5:16-18
(5) the Holy Spirit guides you because you are weak. John 14:26-27
(6) He leads you in peace. John 14:27
(7) He answers prayers. Romans 8:26
(8) He works out all things for the good. Romans 8:28

3. How ca you enter into this state of salvation?
1) To dwell in Jesus is to have the life of Jesus in you.
2) This means being born again of water and the Spirit. Be born from above
3) There is only one way. John 3:14-16

4. These are four changes that appear in those who have this life. Holy Spirit
1) Spiritually, your family registry changes. John 8:44 -> 1 John 3:2, John 5:24
2) Your status changes. Romans 6:17 -> Romans 6:22
3) Your spirit, body, and life changes. Ephesians 2:1 -> Ephesians 2:5
4) The guidance in your life changes. Ephesians 2:2 -> Galatians 5:18

5. How does God guide those who have this life?
1) He will never abandon you but will guide and sanctify you to the end. John 14:16, 26 Galatians 5:16-18
2) No one can destroy those who have this life. Romans 8:31-39

6. Healing – Drugs, substance abuse
1) Spiritual healing Acts 1:4-8, 1 Corinthians 2:10, 1 John 2:20-27, Acts 1:8
2) Physical healing (Blood, Blood vessels)

1. What are the incorrect views of salvation? Things that are not salvation
1) Thinking that having a religion brings salvation. John 3:1-10 Religion is manmade; therefore, it is not the Gospel.

I always find this distinction mildly irritating. Mainly because it's so clearly mistaken. Christianity is a religion. A religion is a systematized collection of beliefs and rituals. Christianity is constituted of both. If Christianity had neither a system of beliefs nor rituals, it would not exist. This doesn't mean, though, that a born-again believer doesn't relate with God through Christ. Christianity is not either a religion or a relationship; it's both.

2. Then, what is the state of being saved?
1) there is inner (Spiritual) change.

3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life. Romans 8:2 You cannot enter God’s kingdom unless you are born again by water and the Holy Spirit. John 3:3-5

(6) He leads you in peace. John 14:27
(7) He answers prayers. Romans 8:26
(8) He works out all things for the good. Romans 8:28

These are the effects or consequences of salvation, but salvation itself is not a state but a Person: Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:11-12)
