Well, according to folks who've read all of Woodward's book, it's got plenty of bad news about Trump for all of us Americans. I am glad that Woodward said this & you made a thread about it. There's so many folks who are diehard Trump fans, just decided before the book even came out that it had to be nothing but fiction. If you believe that Woodward was honest about that, then that should give you reason to think that the rest of his work is credible.

Trump Jr. wrote down his intent to collude or rather conspire with Russia in a now public email. There's that and the near countless meetings between Russian intelligence and virtually every high level Trump campaign official that were vehemently denied until they were exposed. There is Trump's hesitation in firing Flynn after they were made aware of the high possibility of him being compromised by the Russians. There is Paul Manafort, with his long list of connections with Russian oligarchs, who just entered into a cooperation agreement with Mueller to plead guilty to conspiracy against the United States. There is Jared Kushner who tried to negotiate a secret back channel with the Kremlin.
The only way to not see evidence of collusion (or more accurately conspiracy) is to bury your head in the sand.

The idea was to create chaos. That was the primary goal even ahead of electing Trump. Which, by the way, is what every one of our U.S. Intelligence agencies said and what our allies agencies have also said.

It makes perfect sense. This thread is not about the book and the failings of poor Donald but about the constant perfidy of his opponents; iow, "Neener neener Dems!"

Woodward does seem like someone that would notice a lot.
But, Trump seems to be good for the Democrats, on the whole.
If Trump got removed, that would be much less good for the Democrats, who no longer could campaign against Trump's ill-considered statements.
Just trying to help you see how that works, though really it doesn't matter at all for us.
This is the temporary fallen world, and it will be replaced, and all this old history entirely forgotten.

The fact that people are arguing about whether this thread is about the book or not while ignoring the topic of the OP tells me that they just don't want to believe it. The democrats and the Trump haters have been clinging to this Russia/collusion myth for so long and have hung their hopes on it. The only collusion involved Hillary and this whole special investigation has been about trying to protect her while giving the illusion that it was really Trump. It's a classic projection tactic.
