Im meditating on freedom today. I believe i know what it feels like to have your faith shipwrecked in the waves and winds of doctrine. I also know what its like to have my house built on a rock. I choose the latter, freedom in Christ

Freedom: a bless-ed meditation. I agree about having one's house built on a rock. I've needed stability all my life, and only God Himself offers it. Jesus Christ IS our Rock. And He is the Bedrock of ANY foundation we have.

Amen.

And we're all sinners, saved by the inexplicable grace and mercy of God. ALL of us. It is written that those who are forgiven for much are forever thankful to the God Who made it possible to even BE forgiven, and have a deep love in their hearts for this God. (I can't remember which verse that is).
Luke 7:40-50
Jesus said that we love much when we know we are forgiven much.

Im meditating on freedom today.
John 8:31-32 Jesus is the source of freedom.

What's up with the coffee? Nasty, smelly stuff.

I feel this way. :)

John 7:37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”[a] 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)

To me this scripture means that God smashes our pride and gives grace to us when we are humbled. The "valleys raised up" refer to the humble who are raised up (God gives grace), and the "mountains" represent the proud.

Isaiah 40:4 Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain.
