2 Corinthians 9:6-8
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

How do I become a cheerful giver? I wish to give not under compulsion at all. How would be God bless me abundantly whenever I give? Is the giving and the result always about money? Where do I give of my funds and my time? I hate to say that I have nowhere or no way to give. Are donating funds not just to a church or a charity okay? I have no real clue what 2 Corinthians 9 refer to?

If you really love someone, you are pleased/happy/enjoying to give them things like food or a coat or a ride. If your church is good/wonderful for you, you are pleased to help contribute some to it also.

Start by giving NOT expecting anything in return. You can give time, love, and or money. Jesus never ever talks about giving equally getting some big money payout in return.

 Ask God to lead you to give something freely, as if your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is doing, and then to leave all thoughts of it where you gave it, without giving it another thought.

I can attest to the fact that we can NEVER EVER out-give God.

Praying for you (((hug)))

This is a most precious question, by the way. Praying that God Himself teaches you the preciousness of what it means to b e a "cheerful giver".

This most precious and delightful verse comes to mind:

"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God." ~Deuteronomy 28:2

All I can say is that the Lord has blessed me beyond measure, and I can attribute that to tithing. When I had nothing, I gave little and when I had abundance I gave more. Everything in this world belongs to Him, we are just the caretakers of it. When we tithe to things that advance His kingdom and the body of Christ we are only giving back what is His to begin with, and we are blessed for it. All glory to Him.

It is written that when we "give", especially to those who have need, that we "lend" to the Lord. That's an incredible verse.

Reminds me of the verse above that i posted about God's blessings chasing us down and "overcoming" us.

Is that delightful or WHAT???!!!

You see principles of 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 reflected in Galatians 6:7-10 and Proverbs 11:24-25.

How do I become a cheerful giver? I wish to give not under compulsion at all. How would be God bless me abundantly whenever I give? Is the giving and the result always about money? Romans 5:1-11
James 2: 15-17
Matthew 25: 37-40

Read all of chapter 9 of 2 Corinthians; hopefully, the amplified version will be of help to you as it answers several of your questions.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Luke 6:35
We shouldn't give solely for the purpose of being blessed or for any rewards or returns. And off course the result of giving is not always monetary gain.

In my opinion, giving money is just too easy....Giving another your time to listen to what bothers them is a way better way to give.

Yes, a few dollars to handle a present need is good but a good talk can allow joy to last longer... We all want to be heard.

Are you stingy? If not, don't worry about it.
