Your video made me think of something. When it comes to politics, rather than attacking people, we should discuss the issues.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. LORD!! Let the world hear Your Love!

I had a blond moment, couldn't figure out what crispy skin and orange sauce had to do with anything, but that pic was a great clue @brinny , thanks

The duck knew and disagreed.

Quite emphatically.

Wow. I don't know why we don't do this more. I think some people don't really know how -- they have seen too much of Rush Limbaugh and the View.

Thanks.

Tom T. Hall is one of my all-time favorite singer/song-writers. Here's one song which he said described his philosophy of life.

One thing that would help cure political bickering is if everyone agreed to end hypocrisy.

If you abhor party XYZ for doing action Q, then do NOT excuse your party for doing action Q.

If you hated politician J for playing golf 12 hours a week then don't excuse your politician for playing golf 12 hours a week.

If we simply did that, if we simply stopped being hypocrites, we could advance and solve so many issues.

Instead, what keeps happening is that each side uses the mistakes of the other side as their principle defense in defending the wrongs of their parties.

How about we just all agree to STOP defending the wrongs regardless of who commits the wrongs. Wrong should be wrong should be wrong regardless of who does it.

End the hypocrisy

When I was in elementary/middle/high school; I lived in a remote/rural part of our state and rode the school bus to school every day (until getting my 1st car).
All school age children in our community rode the same bus into town - about 11 miles each way.
We had the same driver from the begining. He installed an 8-track tape player on the bus. He owned exactly 1 8track tape. Tom T Hall's greatest hits. So I heard this song every school day for about 8 years. By the time I was a freshman in HS, I hated Tom T Hall.
Now, as an older adult, it brings back fond memories.

My favorite is still Clayton Delaney ...

That's certainly a good one.
I've never cared for the song 'Ballad of Curtis Lowe' by Lynyrd Skynyrd because I thought it was a poor 'tip-o-the hat' to Clayton Delaney.

I was once a member of the 'Harpeth Valley PTA'

(my youngest went to Harpeth Valley Elementary which was the 'for real' inspiration for the title of the Tom T Hall penned song; Harper Valley PTA).

That takes us in a different direction.

I lost my dad to a heart defect when I was 11 years old. He had an am radio mounted on the wall by the table. Saturday mornings we always listened to Paul Harvey, and all the old country songs, so they bring back some great memories. One of his favorites was Cal Smith, Country Bumpkin. Still brings tears to my eyes.
