UPDATE - My father in law is in surgery right now.

UPDATE IN POST #11

Right this hour as I'm typing. His name is Gary. The surgeons are looking to remove his entire pancreas as they've found a growth in/on it that has been putting pressure on his digestive tract, preventing him from being able to eat anything solid.

Please pray for his healing, the guidance of the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. I pray that this procedure removes all the ailing elements that are causing him issues. I pray that he has many more years of health ahead of him, that bring him closer to Christ, in Jesus name.

He's out of surgery and in recovery right now. He did well! Thank you all for praying, thank you so much. God was there on Gary's behalf today.

They think it was a really bad case of pancreatitis, but will send off biopsies for lab results

The inflammation was causing a blockage to the small intestine so they had to remove portions of his lower digestive tract and reattach it all back together. They also had to remove his spleen.

Your continued prayers would be so greatly appreciated.

**UPDATE**

Gary has been doing fairly well and has been on chemo after healing from surgery. He developed a blood clot in his leg and had to go onto blood thinners. My wife's mother died a few years ago from a blood clot that she had in her leg. My wife and her were very, very close and my wife still hurts for losing her mother so suddenly. Only one of our four kids can really remember their grandma, but the second from oldest says she can remember a bit too. My mother in-law did get to hold our third baby when he was born, but she died before getting to see him a second time. Now my wife's dad has the same issue, so my wife is dealing with a lot of fear of losing her dad.

The doctors took him off the blood thinner and off chemo because he was passing blood and needs to see a GI doctor next.

Please pray for my wife and her father.

Father, I pray for this wife and father that You will bring healing of body, and soothing of mind. May each person come to have the peace that comes from knowing You and Your Word intimately, a peace that passes understanding, Philippians 4:6-7. May You guide them to the path of daily spending time with You in Your Word, and seeing You deliver them from the many fears people have in this present life. Psalms 34:4-6. Amen.

Father, I pray that You will minister peace and healing to this family. May Your love guide their thoughts and their actions in this difficult season, and may they be often reminded of Your faithfulness to them. I ask that You would bring full recovery and restoration to Gary- spirit, soul, and body.
