Two people have been killed and six others injured in a knife attack in the Finnish city of Turku.


A man suspected of being the attacker was shot in the leg and arrested, police said. He is being treated in hospital.

Finnish broadcaster YLE said several people were seen lying on the ground in the a central part of the city.

Police said on Twitter that officers were looking for more potential suspects involved in the attack, which took place in the early afternoon in the south-western coastal city.

A hospital spokesperson told local media that eight people were hospitalised because of the attack. Some victims are in a critical condition.

Praying for Finland

God have mercy!!!! Praying for all those effected by this shocking tragedy and all the families and loved ones, and praying for all of Finland. (((hug)))

The typical finnish attack. Praying. Dear God help everyone that is fighting for their life. Help everybody that has lost some loved one. Lord may it be an end to this. I pray that some souls will be saved. I add some here. I did read some finnish news. A church in Turku had a prayer service at 21.00 extra because of this. Police have heightened security on airports and borders and besides tomorrow and next day is Strongman Championchip League partcompetition in my birthtown ( not Turku) so all the strongest men from around the world are going to lift and pull at the best of their ability.

Well now the police has started calling this a terror attack at last. Praying for the injured and families of those who died.

The suspect of the knifeattackmurders that was shot in the thigh after 3 minutes of the first knifeattack according to towns videotape is an 18 year old Marockan. It is investigated as terroristmurder by the police. Two wictims are dead and two wictims plus the suspect are in intensive care unite in hospital. I suppose the other hurt people still also are in hospital. One Swedish person was attacked and one Italian and the rest was Finns that were attacked. Dear God help those that need You.

Father, I pray for the political, scholastic, social, scientific, and ecclesiastical leadership, as well as all other important areas of leadership in the nation of Finland. I pray that You would reveal Yourself and Your will for them in the chosen ways You have offered. I pray for spiritual revival among the Christians in the churches, among the teachers in the schools, among the youth, and among those that dominate in the fields of communication. I pray that You send a thirst for Your Word, a thirst for righteousness, a thirst for You, Psalms 42:1. Amen.

Thank God our cat was found in an abandoned house today... the finnish opinions of wolfwar is awful business for cats and kids on the Finnish countryside villages and towns suburbs. We ( the majority it seems ) don't like having wolves on our yards that much really. Dear God make some leaders make some decent laws so we dare play on our yards again.
