Could you pray for me? I have been living a life of rebellion towards God. Could you pray that he gives me a heart of submission? I have submitted my life to Jesus Christ and I did it recently. But I am usually inconsistent. There are so many distractions at home. I love to watch TV more than anything. I am addicted to the television. This is not living the Christian Life. I have also been addicted to inappropriate content and unclean movies. I have repented of these things but I usually fall. Actually I choose to sin. And I know that sin leads to death. I have to take responsibility and say the truth. I have chosen to sin. But I don't want to choose sin anymore. It's just hard to make the right choice.

 Yes it IS hard, if not impossible. Only God is able to transform us and strengthen and sustain us, and firmly "anchor" us and to not be tossed as a wave, back n' forth. Confessing to God that one loves their sin is a start, and praying that He removes the desire. Read the 1st chapter of James. In the meantime, praying for you. (((hug)))

Thank you very much. That was supposed to say inappropriate content and unclean movies.

I have decided to read one chapter in the Bible before I go to bed. And that would be the chapter that I will read: James 1.

Thank you very much for your encouragement and prayers.

You are most welcome. God treasures any genuine utterings and calling out to Him from your heart and soul. Praying.

I read this following quote in a very small book called "The Heart of a God Chaser":

“Tell God all that is in your heart, as one unloads one's heart, it's pleasures, and it's pains, to a dear friend.

Tell him your troubles, that he may comfort you; tell him your joys, that he may sober them; tell him your longings, that he may purify them; tell him your dislikes, that he may help you coquer them; talk to him of your temptations, that he may shield you from them; show him the wounds of your heart, that he may heal them; lay bare your indifference to good, your depraved tastes for evil, your instability. Tell him how self-love makes you unjust to others, how vanity tempts you to be insincere, how pride disguises you to yourself and others.

If you thus pour out your weaknesses, needs, troubles, there will be no lack of what to say. You will never exhaust the subject. It is continually being renewed. People who have no secrets from each other never want for subject of conversation. They do not weigh their words, for there is nothing to be held back, neither do they seek for something to say. They talk out of the abundance of their heart, without consideration they say just what they think. Blessed are they who attain to such familiar, unreserved intimacy with God.” ~Francois Fenelon

God is prompting your heart and soul. Heed His promptings and, as the quote says, tell Him all that is in your heart. He sees the big picture even if we don't. Pray that you can trust Him with the big picture. Praying (((hug)))

 He is a GOOD God. Dare to TRUST He is WHO He says He is. He is the very same God Who parted the Red Sea, our Creator Who created us, and knew us before the foundation of the world. He can take our wavering souls and steady them, and grant us the faith to believe He is Who He says He is. Praying (((hug)))

 All of our souls waver back n' forth. That's why we all need an "Anchor", and that "Anchor" is God. All through the Bible, especially Psalms (and Proverbs), there's testifying after testifying of how we just get tossed to and fro' and that it is only through God that we are able to "be still" with the tossing to and fro'. Praying (((hug)))

Psalms and Proverbs

You just gave me some reading material. I think those are the books that I'm going to read when I wake up and right before I go to bed.

God bless you

Father, I pray for this one, that You will lead them to discover the answers to their problems stated; that they will become aware of practical means to fight the problems, and win the victories. I pray that You will show them where the power is to deliver them from their addictions, that they can replace wrong desires, thoughts, actions with their counterparts a little at a time, and that determined consistency does pay off. May they learn how to be strong in You, in this battle, and not in the power of the flesh. May they find pleasure and satisfaction in the battle to replace those of the addictions. May they find that what You offer is better than what the world offers. I pray that You, Your Word, and other Christians will help them in this battle. Amen.

It’s encouraging to see your desire to draw closer to the Lord, friend. God’s grace is what brings us to Him in the first place, but it’s also evident in the way He holds us and keeps us when we wander. You’ve shared very openly about your struggles, and I want you to know that I’ll be praying for you, asking our Heavenly Father to draw you closer to Himself and strengthen your faith as you look to Him in the coming days. I’ll also pray that He will free you from the hold that inappropriate content addiction has on you and lead you in His best plan for your life.

Praying for you brother that you will continue to be honest and that you will continue to draw closer to Jesus. Place your trust in Jesus and ask Him to give you strength and conviction to shun the addiction and that you will turn away from it and overcome it.
