In (Matthew 5:1-12) we have the Beatitudes taught by our LORD Jesus Christ. What are your thoughts on this passage?
Certainly! The beatitudes were given to the disciples by Jesus and a wider audi ence than the 12 (Matthew 5:1) (Matthew 7:28-29) but have application to those that are mentioned by Him also and that includes us too.
I suppose I should have clarified this earlier. For instance, to the natural mind, to fullfil this verse would seem impossible without some extensive effort.Once we recieve Christ, and the times of refreshing and infilling of the Holy Ghost become prominent, those words of our Lord are brought to life
God wonderfully gives us such a great desire to to love and know and serve the God of truth. Wonderful!I suppose I should have clarified this earlier. For instance, to the natural mind, to fullfil this verse would seem impossible without some extensive effort.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (Matthew 5:6)
Like all things God, without a cross they can not be realized, or it's increase beheld.
People grieve over many things, not just losing loved ones. Redundancy, breakup, health problems, finance difficulties. Thank God there is help and comfort in the LORD'Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted' (Matthew 5:4)
