that's an understatement. ;)

it implies that the lyrics alone and not the instrumentals are the cause of the effects.

Metal, rock, anything like that, is all about rejecting rules, rejecting the status quo, having fun no matter what and having an attitude.

Christianity is all about following, and in some ways limitation, and that's contrary to what metal is all about.

Yeah, it doesn't work.

I'm not knocking Christianity by the way. But it IS like non alcoholic beer, or even a vegan burger (why would a vegan want something that resembles meat?! But I digress...)

It's something that isn't something, trying to be that something to replace that something, despite those two somethings being completely and utterly contrary - thereby ruining both.

Yeah, I just don't get it.

But it isn't like nonalcoholic beer. it is like... Light Beer. or beer with less alcohol. Even without the lyrics, changing the lyrics, the spirit/attitude that goes with the music (instruments) is still there.
Research has shown that music has a profound affect on our conscious and subconscious minds. Our spirit. music is being used in places beyond entertainment because of the profound power that research has show it to have over us.
We must be mindful when we listen to music that Satan was the chief musician. it is, afterall, his area of expertise.

vegan burgers don't make any sense. lol.

Raises his hand...

I never knew long haired men like myself were in such high demand! ;) I don't look anything like that photo, though, haha!

However, I'd like to add that I agree with those who have pointed out that finding a suitable partner is about a lot more than finding a person with looks that appeal to us.

Also, sometimes we might think that God gives us definitive “hints” about our future life. But God does very rarely reveal private matters in advance, for the most time we have to trust that God is in charge and that he will send someone our way when we are ready for it.

I see what you're saying, but there is a lot about Christianity that isn't exactly status quo. And non-alcoholic beer isn't really the most accurate comparison. That metaphor breaks down pretty quickly.

Looking for a man who doesn't mind having a child who name Jordan Bethel who might be a prophet for God.

Yes, I got plenty to do with God. But He's hanging over me. Because I prayed for me to give birth to a prophet.

But I so desire a long haired man to be my husband. I get more passionate and treat him as my baby. Short hair men just to me they need to work it. It depends.

not quite sure what metal you are listening to.... None of the metal I listen to suggests any of that and they are some of the best musicians in the world... Iron Maiden are the most talented of any band wielding guitars and such. Most of their lyrical content is historically based on war, civil events, literature and such....

the crap you are describing is from the likes of Poison and such.... that is NOT metal! They ruined it...

try giving DIO or Maiden a chance...

put down the hair crap... it will destroy you.

if you want something biblical, listen to Dark Angel's "The Burning of Sodom"... :sorry:

I love how in one thread it is all about feeling free to find whatever you find attractive. Someone steps up and shares her attraction and she gets boos and she isn't good enough.

What are you talking about?? Maybe it's not because of the actual fetish but rather the other very abnormal and alarming things she mentioned in her posts.

But, whatever. Keep on attacking everyone else here if it makes you feel better about yourself...

And also know that you and the short guy are both on my ignore list now; it's the only way I can come to this forum and not be astounded by some of the things I see.

Other Christian metal bands...
Underoath, Skillet, Texas in July, Demon Hunter, and many others.

I've heard Skillet. No thank you. You can change the lyrics but it doesn't change the spirit.

I'm just looking at the font and imagery in the youtube videos and it is proving my point to me. Maybe not to you, but it is proving it to me. If you just posted those pictures and I didn't know what it was, I would automatically think "satanic" (except the first one. and particularly the third one. )
