Bible prophecies regarding future as of yet unfulfilled events is vitally important to our faith in the present hour. However, I would not recommend getting extremely in depth into this until you are called to it when He decides you are finally ready. Without discernment it will just make your head hurt. Another thing I should say is that while it is very important for the sake of our "watching" for the signs of the end to be approaching in obedience to the commands of Jesus Christ, this particular field of study (unfulfilled end-time prophecies) I regard to be fairly limited in its scope. Wouldn't take that long to go through most of everything being said (possibly a few months), once you have a fairly accurate understanding of what's going to happen.
My brother has been a Pentecostal for about 10 years. Only last year he started talking about "end times" and how soon it will be. Honestly it sounds insane to me. But I will try to keep an open mind.

People are going nuts right now, which is another excellent point. The media goes into "The Sky Is Falling!!!" mode, and suddenly everyone is practically running for their lives in fear. I was having a running conversation with a brother here trying to convince him that we were no where near the end yet. WAY too many things yet to be fulfilled, probably in any of our lifetimes. Could I get him to listen to me? No. I finally had to tell him I was seriously growing tired of the conversation, and I'm normally a very patient man when it comes to discussing spiritual matters with people.

They carry imprimatur.

But study Katya first - an authentic stigmatic who prophesied her own stigmata months before, the entire episode caught on film. The development of the wounds, which completeley healed a day later. No plastic surgeon could ever achieve healing on that timescale.

Witnesses say she wrote for hours, writing continously, never pausing for thought or a single word, never a correction. No human author can do that. She said it was simply dictated to her, she wrote what she was told to write, which is why she never had to pause.

When you put end times clues on the paper, it's basic logical conclusion that this year is serious candidate for an event that will trigger soon subsequent start of end times. It doesn't mean it will happen, but to brush all the signs pointing to this year is a folly, or a pride thing, in my opinion.

Yes, there were previous years and previous hype. So what. Unprecedented signs point to 2017. We'll see, anyway. What I'm saying is to study it, reality warrants it enough.

Yes, sure, if it's available to you. But you would still speak out of ignorance, since it seems you didn't research the subject. I said: "It doesn't mean it will happen, but to brush all the signs pointing to this year is a folly, or a pride thing, in my opinion... What I'm saying is to study it..."

You can also quote this:
"Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." (Revelation 1:3, confirming the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ)

And this:
"If anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll." (Revelation 22:19)

I don't know if mocking the idea that a person should study the prophecy and make some conclusions (which could be right or wrong, as no human is perfect) based on said prophecy falls into category of "takes words away from this scroll of prophecy", but it is a form of devaluing the prophecy by way of demeaning any interpretation, and brushing off the idea to even study it.

I'm saying, I guess, these are serious times, and we have enough clues to respectfully check what Bible tells us about what is coming anyway (end time), and to decide if that time could be at the door or not.

I would like to think my learning curve never ends. That there is always something more to learn.
How many children die EVERY DAY world wide from hunger, thirst or bad water,
and
how many people have died total in the last 50 years from nuclear missiles ?
and
how many children die EVERY DAY in the usa from properly prescribed medicine taken as directed ?

Isn't deception greatest danger, and not food or bullets?

Children who don't have food to eat, die, and go to Heaven to be with the Father, for ever and ever. People falling for rampant deception of our times may or may not live good lives here, but then they go to hell either way. Who is in better position?

If finale is at the door, Revelation suggests billions of people will perish. Billions. By what? By deception that leads them to worship the beast. Who knows how many have already perished in the build up to these days, as deception is already off the charts. Let's remember that sin itself entered the world by deception, when snake lied to Eve: "Ye shall not surely die".

When Jesus was asked about the end times, first thing he said was: "Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matthew 24:4)

It's worth to note that these Jesus' words are not only a priority, but that they are a command.

I sense there is a conflict between man's way of thinking and God's Word here.

Yes, because I am human, far from perfect, and God's Word is perfect. If you could be precise about what you find the issue with, we could have an exchange of views.

This sounds like some of the universalist's posts of others in the past few days.
I don't think you are a universalist, but
for example to differentiate from universalism:
"Children who" < are saved > "die, and go to Heaven to be with the Father, for ever and ever."

I agree with your correction as being more probable. I didn't want to go into estimating how He deals with that situation. Either way God executes perfect justice, and that's our comfort in His decisions.

Revelation tells how billions will die. I don't see a suggestion anywhere in the Book.

Yes, I agree. Like previous issue, I didn't want to go into estimating how many of those who die are saved and how many are not. It's enough that the situation will be dire (and that's an understatement).

Even though I am both spiritual and religious, my intellectual curiosity veers more towards the spiritual than the religious.

There's a contemporary Christian song I love that I often played when I was in a praise band:

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart
I'll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus

And I'm not talking about "Supply-side Jesus."

"Children who" < are saved > "die, and go to Heaven to be with the Father, for ever and ever."

A small correction on my position about children who die. I did some analysis on the subject, and my position is that it's most probable that all or practically all children who die go to Heaven:

1) all are born in sin
2) Jesus paid for all sins of the world, including children's (1 John 2:2, Romans 3:24-25...)
3) children can't decide to believe in Jesus, and accept Him as their Saviour, in order to be saved
4) Jesus warns about harming children (Matthew 18:10)
5) as a result, children who die are saved automatically

This is just a correction on my commentary, I won't debate this...

At least if one parent is born again, their children are sanctified.

If not, they aren't.
