"To anticipate an evil spiritual attack is an invitation TO the forces of evil. To anticipate the protection of our Father in Heaven is an expulsion OF the forces of evil."

I don't think I have to worry about this happening again because I know who I belong to with confidence now. This conclusion I came to may or may not be true but I had witnessed a demonic possession of a young boy in a mental ward (many years ago) who would "blackout" and charge at people snarling because he said to me when I asked about it "I absorb all the negative energy around me" Mark 5:9. He was very calm and timid otherwise. He would never hurt anyone. When he did snap he would never remember anything that happened even if he had been hit in self-defence. It's like he had lost complete control and memory of his body for the time he "blacked out".

This was a place where unstable youth would commit suicide attempts, self-mutilation, and violence and the Doctors and nurses had no idea how to help some of them but prescribe various medications in vain. I felt like it was a den of evil now that I look back at it from a better understanding of discernment through Holy Spirit. A breeding ground for demonic activity. There is a very big difference I feel between demonic oppression and demonic possession. I have been privileged to perceive most all stages as a child.

I think "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan is spot on in most all parts. Especially when I look at Luke 8:26-39 (Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 5:1-20) Matthew 10:8 and how he always refers to the dead as simply "sleeping" (Lazarus, Little girl etc..). I personally think it's folly to discount the existence of evil forces as it is very relevant to our ministry of servitude to others. This is just my stand on it.

Concerning the casting out of demons/devils, my question is this to those who have been to various parts of the globe and have seen and dealt with this stuff as well through field experience:

Do you believe it's nigh impossible to perceive evil spiritual forces when we are alone? Does it only happen when we interact with others? Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I find the Spiritual realm very interesting as one who has become very aware of its reality (Ephesians 6:10-20) specifically. This was hastily typed.

Sleep paralysis attacks, psychic physical assault and forms of reality warping have all happened to people under attack from the enemies. A lot of things have happened to me, some more sinister than sleep paralysis. Even feeling extremely heavy weight on my chest like someone is sitting on it. Prayer and Christ's name is the way to go.

Some people aren't so lucky, and die from what is called Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death Syndrome. The symptoms and description the people give are the same - minus Christ and God of course. For them, it plagues them until it kills them.

This is correct. It's the right conclusion.

Spiritual forces are very common but the thing is like you said above, it's not the focus.

Casting out devils really isn't so bad.

"Devil, Go! In the name of Jesus." <----- Luke 10:17

But we also have to learn to use discretion in how this is used. There is also the notion we just pray up walls on our property for demons never to enter.

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. - Deuteronomy 28:7

Enemies here are demons for Christians.

But don't believe me, just believe what God said in the word. And if you're not sure to the point you can stake your entire life on it, then maybe you don't believe enough and should take medications. I took medication for one thing over a year until my faith was ready, where the medication was a detriment rather than a help. When I took these meds, I prayed to God and he removed all the side effects.

Though, before I was a Christian, I would get cold and flue like once or twice a year. Interestingly, I also stopped getting sunburned.

I used to get sunburned terribly my entire life, even if I was in the sun 5 minutes. The other day, I was out in the sun doing ministry for Jesus, and I tanned but did not burn. I am 32 years old and will certify I have never tanned in my entire life, only burned. But this time I tanned and have no burn.

How do we know what ailments afflicted people in the time of Christ?
We do know He healed many,and cast out many Demons.
As far as Cancer back then I do not see a carcinogenic substance around like we have today.

As one who has been attacked often throughout my life, they can and will attack at any time, especially when we are vulnerable. They use any opportunity at hand. I do not believe however a Christian can be possessed. This is a mis-translation. Everyone is attacked, most are not aware of their influence in their lives. As Jesus said, we need to fill our home so it not be empty.
Matthew 12:43 “Now when an unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places looking for rest and doesn’t find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I’ll go back home where I came from.’ And when it comes, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there. And that man’s last condition becomes worse than the first. So also will it be for this evil generation.”

BS&K I don't know of a forum. What I've learned is that we need to be diligent about meditating (just means focusing) on Yahweh and His Word. Even in Genesis, there's "...sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." Gen 4:7 (I'm not to be naive - he wants us all to fail. As believers, we rule over him through Yeshua and His Word).

Relying on Yahweh and His word, we're enabled. There’s several Greek words for power - they're in parenthesis in this Scripture: "…that we may know... the exceeding greatness of his power ("dunamis") to us-ward who believe, according to the working ("energeia") of his mighty ("ischus") power ("kratos"), which he wrought ("energeo") in Christ, when he raised him from the dead ...." (Eph 1:19-20)

Notes: Researching these words - Strength and power of Yahweh’s that is not just upon us but in us. Strength possessed and power that produces and is capable of reproducing itself. Yahweh's strength and power are deeply rooted and it's His working in us.

as one who was delivered dramatically of demons .. yes it is important to repent and go forward and not return to willful sin EVER (willfully missing the mark is rebellion and demons love rebellion )
but it is not so easy for them to come back when you are a new creature in Christ and are filled with the Holy Spirit

and a lot of people make to big a deal out of it and get all hair-on-end at the slightest mention of it lol.
simply say in faith .."Satan get AWAY from me in Jesus name" ...and puff hes gone like a robbers dog scampering at full tilt .
you see he has ability but no authority so when we tel him to get away its because we have caught-him in the act of thievery ,doing something he is not allowed to be doing .. and he scampers from the light we suddenly shine on him .

younger believers don't always take time to read the word and renew their thinking (their minds) with regard to our authority in Christ . Jesus didn't say ALL authority is given to me but i left some for the devil.. NO he said ALL is given to him which means he took ALL of it off the devil .

fear is illusion when it comes to the devil ,he wants you to THINK he is dangerous to you, but remember Jesus said .."he is a liar" .. So don't fall for it .

I am on no medication and this was some months ago. I now know many things I was ignorant of back then. The question regarding medication is irrelevant to the topic at hand. It is an unhealthy and worldly speculation with a hidden intent to shame. It holds no conducive value in this thread. This is the truth.

The only power that evil has is the power it is allowed to have. The power it is allowed to have is through the sensuous mind that is still uncertain about many things. It is a growing process in which we build the endurance of Faith.

Jesus said unto the leper, 'Go to the physician- even though they still cannot heal leprosy but I can!'.
