I know that "murder" refers to illegal killing, as defined by the government of the time. Hence, all murder is killing, but not all killing is murder.

As for which one was intended, we need only look into the character of God to see what He had in mind... clearly he meant murder, but the KJV says "kill."

I'ld say a belief based on scientific evidence is infinitly more reliable, reasonable and justified as opposed to a belief based on a book written by anonymous authors of the bronze age...

Science also doesn't address the undetectable 7-headed dragon in my garage or the pink graviton fairies that keep us from floating into space.

And the reason for that is that science only deals in things that can be shown to be real.

Science is often a hindrance to people receiving salvation through Jesus and His written Word, the Bible.

And according to vikings, the Bible is a hindrance to reaching Whalhalla.

And according to me, both the Bible and the Koran are hindrances to human development and advancement.

Yes. And a very usefull one at that. Just look at this post... we are engaging in instant communication from opposite sides of the planet.

Prayer or the Bible didn't make that happen. Science did.

I call that an idol to many, a pit that has open in the Last Days.
