Favorite Recently-Written Worship Songs

The problem is there's so much excellent stuff out there, how do you choose.

I guess if I had to pick one, it would be "Strong God" by Vertical Church ft. Meredith Andrews:


You could also pull just about anything off Amanda Cook's new CD, "Brave New World." If you like the quiet, synth-driven trance/ambient genre that might wander around a bit during a song, this will slot right in. These just might be the sorts of sounds you'll hear in Heaven when you get there. Hard to believe this was done by the same artist who sings "You Make Me Brave," but it is, and I think it's just as good if you measure it by the correct yardstick. Worth buying the physical CD over the download just to get the artwork of the ship in the raging storm (seriously). I'm thinking of having it framed.

This song really speaks to me and reminds me what worship should be about....giving God the glory.
