While i understand what you mean, what other is there? I certainly can't take credit for anything. It's Christ in us. So all other things that set us apart are by Him. Without Him we are just like all others. I don't see Muslims as being any different than the rest of the human race that has not been born again. Evil and violence is universal. All mens' hearts are evil, even ours, and as such we are prone to evil from time to time like everybody else. But we also have the mind of Christ as well as The Holy Ghost to help us choose good over evil.
What is particularly evil, at least in my opinion, is to do evil in His name.

We're on the same team, aren't we?
The simple fact is mans hearts are evil. It's only by the Holy Spirit in us that we can choose good and God helps us do so. That makes us unique.

There was a thread earlier this year where several members of this forum stated that they believed that burning heretics to death (or otherwise killing them) was acceptable under some circumstances. It was remarkable, I thought, just how few people condemned this view.

I remember there were quite a few of us that condemned that view.

Sorry. *dp* I think that's a bit unfair though Mike. It's not like this place was or is bustling like it once was. The place is dying and checking in is sporadic at best.

I make no apology for my view that execution of heretics is wrong. Not that truth is terribly important to you, but I have never "defended Muslims that support violence" from criticism. I am a Catholic, and I will follow Christ's Church. I will vocally oppose unnecessary violence (by anyone, but especially my own) and I will also vocally defend the positions that our leaders have, in their wisdom, have taken. Positions like allowing in refugees without regard to their religious affiliation, and petitioning our government not to export illegal immigrant families.
