I think it is important to test yourself. In Scripture it says if we judge ourselves we won't be judged. 1 Cor 11:31 The Scriptures also say we are to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. 1 Thes. 5:21 Testing and judging is a process we go through almost daily over many things.

In school testing is a way to learn. When we miss a question we learn from the test. So to self test is just a way to learn.

The Holy Spirit will teach us all things. John 14:21 And God offers to teach us in whatever we ask. Ps 25:12 Growth does not come from easy street. Strength comes from pushing beyond our ability. Let us believe God to advance His kingdom going beyond our ability and relying on His ability.
