... when it's nothing but a flat out lie and hypocrisy? The reason for this rant is because just recently, on Facebook, Christians are having their comments on Ty Herndon's coming out announcement removed for violating Facebook Community Standards, myself included. I read these particular comments and none of them were rude, obnoxious or disrespectful. My comment certainly wasn't. In these particular comments, there was no name calling, no foul language and no condemnation voiced whatsoever. There was genuine concern from these Christians, myself included, for the well being and eternal soul of this man who recently admitted to being a homosexual. I honestly didn't see any comment, from any Christian, that was uncalled for. There certainly weren't any "YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL, YOU..." comments in that thread. However, there were PLENTY of "Christians are going to burn in hell for being judgmental" comments. And yet, such comments as these were not removed and the vast majority of the genuinely concerned Christians comments were. I read through that thread and the vile spewed toward Christians was unbelievable. We were called all sorts of foul and hideous names, falsely accused and bashed relentlessly. God was mocked, Jesus was mocked, Scriptures were mocked, and Christianity, in general, was torn to shreds. I decided to reported one particular comment that called Christians bigots, idiots and many other foul names. I reported the comment as hate speech against a religious group. I was later told, by Facebook, that this comment did not violate Facebook Community Standards and it was not considered hate speech. It's so deceptive and hypocritical for the left to scream for tolerance, particularly for homosexuals, when they themselves are the most intolerant people I have ever met, especially toward Christians. It's totally acceptable in our society to bash Christians and Christianity.
And finally, I posted the following message on my status a couple of hours ago. It hasn't been removed as of yet. Here it is: "Jesus told His disciples that if the world hates them to remember that it hated Him first. Scripture also tells us that men hate the light, lest their dark deeds be exposed. I know when I share the Gospel with someone who isn't saved that I can expect to be called all sorts of foul names and be ridiculed and falsely accused, but it still stings. I know that when I'm verbally attacked and shunned for speaking of the Light of Jesus Christ, I am to rejoice and be glad. I know that, Jesus said it Himself, but my heart is still heavy with sadness. My heart is heavy with sadness because I know the eternal fate of those who reject Jesus Christ and the salvation that can only come through Him. And despite popular opinion, God does not bless any form of sin, no matter what it is. Some people are fooled into believing that God will not punish them for their sins, because He is loving and forgiving, however, what they forget or choose to ignore is that He is also infinitely holy, righteous and just. He will punish sin wherever it is found and the ultimate punishment for our sins is an eternity in hell. And despite all of this, while we were yet sinners, God sent Jesus, His one and only Son, to die for us. He made Jesus, who knew no sin, to become sin for us, and sent Him to the cross to take the punishment and death for our sins upon Himself. Jesus took the ultimate punishment our sins upon Himself and nailed them to the cross once and for all. And it is through Him alone that a person can be forgiven of their sins, saved from hell, and be given eternal life. There will be no excuses accepted and no second chances for anyone when they stand before God in judgment. It's terrifying for me to think of all the people who will go to hell because they rejected Jesus Christ in life, the only way for them to be forgiven and saved. How can I not share this with others so they too can be saved from an eternity in hell? God will punish every single person for every single one of their sins, no matter who that person was in their life. Denying these truths, ignoring them or trying to silence them won't make them go away or change their reality."
