I am not sure were to post this question, so I will start here. I probably won't post much after this, as I really do not know the answer to this question and am interested in everyone's thoughts.

Anyway, we all know that the Lord knows EVERYTHING, past, present and future. My question is, since He is all-knowing, then why did He make folk that He knew would not be saved, only to be sent to Hell? I know the bible says He does not wish for anyone to go there, but, He does know who will and who won't, and if He knows who will, then why did He create them? I know, folks will say He gives everyone a free will, but again, He will know who will use their free will to "accept" His gift of eternal life and who won't. I just do not understand why He would create those who He knows will go to hell.

This really bothers me.

Everything that God made is good and after corruption marred creation the hope that it will be healed explains God's works since.

It isn't that God made anybody for the express purpose of causing them pain or watching them suffer. He made everything well. Pain and suffering come from the corruption of the good that God created. Corruption is not so much something in itself since it cannot exist without something good to corrupt. It is the spoiling of good. And that is what God calls us to resist. Do not spoil goodness when you see it and do not become an agent of corruption. Treat everything as good and goodness will increase, that is what God intended from the beginning.

The short answer is because it is the only way. If there were a "better" way, do you not suppose an all knowing God who is love would have chosen it?

Which? Not knowing the answer, people being created for destruction, or both?

At any rate, I think the answer to many of the "Why" questions is answered by Romans 9:22-23.

Every single time you start with " in the beginning god created the universe" you wind up with the problem of making god responsible for evil and suffering.
Re-post your question in the unorthodox section and I will show you the answer.
How do you know your answer will be unorthodox?

God is responsible for both, just not guilty of what He is responsible for.

The problem is with you understanding of the relationship between time and God.

God knows all that is knowable of our past present and future.

How does God know our future free will choices?

We talk about God being outside of time so the God in the far distant future is the same God at the beginning of time and that God of our far distant future can see our future as just history to Him and communicate that history back to Himself at the beginning of time.

History cannot be changed since it already happened, so the history for God in the far distant future cannot change, but who created that history? Certainly God created most of that history, but God seems to have allowed humans to create some of the history (their limited free will choices to choose to accept or reject God’s Love).

There are things that are just not knowable: one of those things is “what a free will being will choose of their own free will if they are never to exist”.

So when you say: “Why did God create them?” If God is never ever going to create a being then God does not know what free will choices that being will definitely make. God would know the possible choices, but if the being really has free will, God cannot know for sure the choices made by that imaginary free will being.

As soon as a person is going to be made he becomes part of the God of the distant futures history knowledge, which is also immediately known by God at the beginning of time. So God does know everything past, present and future, since humans that will never exist are not part of the past, present or future.

I think it's a gutsy question. Don't let anyone discourage you from asking it, sister.

Thank you. I think it answers, but may require some explanation.
We'll see.

Mr. bling, with all due respect, an omnipresent God communicating to Himself between two points of time seems over-thought.
Foreknowledge being the result of "determinate council" (a thoroughly thought out plan), seems more likely to me.

Acts2:23: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

yes, there are people who will wind up in hell of their own wrong choosing. But between birth and death there are a whole lot of choices and opportunities for good as well as for evil.

To eliminate the people who will be going to hell from being created would also eliminate all of the good things that they did in life, as well as all of the joy that their existance brought to others. And for the sake of that joy and that good that was done by them to others, their creation was merited.

You said " I know the bible says He does not wish for anyone to go there (Hell)", but the verse I think you are referring to actually says "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." That is 2 Peter 3:9, ESV.

God created all of us, and he wants us to reach repentance. He doesn't want for us to perish without him.

But I see another issue in your post, the issue about hell. I don't want to sidetrack this thread, why don't you go to one of the many threads here about the nature of hell to get more information about the fate of the lost?

Here's link to one of them:
Is not believing in an eternal hell Heresy?

There are 3 different views of hell, and I think supporters of each view have given the evidence for their view in that thread. Alternatively, you could read this book which sets out the evidence each side uses:
All You Want to Know About Hell

So God created man kind to live 120 years tops and if they do repent, they will suffer for all eternity in a fiery blaze that never ends? Yeah that sounds like a Loving God.

Many Christians will be in hell for being luke warm aka being saved young, but always living in sin afterwards like they were never saved to begin with, by living the very lifestyles the bible says that people will not inherit the kingdom if they live those ways.

I believe in Hell and many will go there for unbelief, but I also believe they will die after X amount of time that God sees fit for their punishment. The bible says hell was made for the devil and his angels. I dont think being unrepentant makes you a messenger of the devil, but thats just my opinion and I could be wrong.
