Has anyone here used these "obvious" points to evangelize evolutionists about God?

Hi all,

In response to the previous post I can not answer this complaint in a few words since evangelizing anyone with the good-news-gospel should not be "considered" or "not-considered" via a sound bite but after much prayer and with some significant efforts.

Unfortunately before now I have never strongly attempted to evangelize "Christians" who are “dogmatic” in their beliefs about foreknowledge via Calvinism and historical and prophetic biblical inerrancy OR any “Christians” who were theistic evolutionists that believed Darwinian evolution occurred, so I feel that most of these types should likely not be solely evangelized by me, but would hopefully eventually be evangelized by someone who had a relationship with them and who "loved" them and saw they needed to be discipled further in their walk, or "evangelized" with the good-news-gospel
for some flawed-character reasons.

So let me just relate that the reason for these posts is that in my view Darwinian evolutionary beliefs leads a lot of folks to believe into a predeterminate Calvinistic survival of the fittest mentality, which is likely similar to what
Nazi Germany would have continued to promote throughout the world IF they and Japan had won the second world war.

My view is that "everyone", especially myself, needs to "continually" be "taught" or "mentored" in order to be able to "grow" in the manner as encouraged by the Apostle Peter in 2Peter 3:18 that says - - But the day of the Lord will come like a thief . . . . Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless ones and fall from your secure position. But "grow" in the "grace" and "knowledge" of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

So Peter thought that “growing” in one's "knowledge" about God's nature and eternal- efforts and eternal- vision for us "all" was important for one to be able to also “grow” into a "gracious" and "compassionate" disciple of Jesus.

John wrote a similar view in
John 8:31-32 when Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Also a very strong reproof towards those "teachers" and "quasi-believers" who would not have much knowledge about God's Holy sacrificial efforts and hopes for us all is found in
Hosea 4:6 - - my people are destroyed from lack of "knowledge"; because you . . . .

As I wrote before, my view it that like what occurred with myself, when one grows in their "knowledge" about God's eternal nature, vision and efforts towards creating "mankind" upon the earth He "eventually" had built for us all, and the "phenomenal" sacrifices Jesus and the Heavenly Host of eternal angels had expended in our behalf throughout the ages of eternity past, their love for our Creator God and "all" others, (no matter what their present "imperfections" might be), "also" grows.

So that throughout my own conversion "process" these scriptures given above about "knowledge" and "truth" have continually encouraged "me" to look for “good- soil” where I might sway others to recognize that God-Is, via my own knowledge about His eternal nature, and other "infallible" truths about Jesus, and His creation, mankind, and His eternal vision for us "all" from eternity past into eternity future.
The Trinity is patient and sacrificial in their Holiness towards us "all".

Holiness defined is - - "set apart for service" to "all" of mankind, and the Trinity does this without favoritism so that eventually 1 John 3:8b would be fulfilled in the earth as more "believers" would become "Holy" disciples of Jesus.

So as I outlined in the OP, Darwinian-evolution has "never" had any "scientific" validity even to Darwin himself, which then to any logical-analytical-thinker would make an eternal "creator-being" obvious to have worked to "cause" our creation, which most people are logical thinkers, unless there is a Spirit problem they have "yet" to overcome.

Then once a prodigal would finally "comprehend" that God-Is, further discussions about the fall of man and that Christ Jesus came to reconcile us "all" back to His Father's household would be able to be discussed, that would then mentor that person into a deeper and more loving covenantal relationship with our Triune God.

Thanks for your post since they let me attempt to encourage some others with my own efforts today. Because I sincerely hope and pray my answers will help others become willing to share the good news about Jesus and His Heavenly Father and His Kingdom in Heaven with "whomever" they might befriend in life, even if they are a dogmatic Darwinian Theistic evolutionist, who might also be a staunch predeterminate Calvinist who would dogmatically believe that survival of the fittest created the world and will be how the world will eventually survive into the future ages, OR a predeterminate Calvinist that believes God will invariably do all that needs to be done so that our responsibility is only to occupy and wait for Him to save the save-able world.

We are all in training to be a little more like Jesus every day, one day and one step at a time, and ultimately in each generation we are all being “sifted” and “pruned” to be more and more fruitful than previous generations, and will either rise to the challenges or will fall- away with the chaff.

So I pray that all those who would eventually read this post will heed the warnings of

Hosea 4:6 and understand that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and without one having “that” fear one has not “yet” begun to become as wise as our God would desire us all to become in this pivotal hour.

<><> <><

Again, thank you everyone for your posts and prayers. In spite of sometimes having opposing views and focus for each of our life-efforts, I continually pray that “all” of these posts will eventually become eternally fruitful towards everyone who might someday be like the Bereans who would read this thread and would prayerfully consider the truths therein.

Shalom in Jesus,

Hi all. Anyone notice how AJCServant is now avoiding the topic and going off on very strange rabbit trails that I doubt anyone is following? The post above seemed very cryptic—something about calvinists being nazis.

I'm hoping he'll humble himself and listen and engage.

Hi Cal,

What is your topic?

AJCServant

Well you went from old earth creationism and evangelism, to the evils of calvinism. I think before you get into the errors of other theologians, you may want to at least examine your own.

Hi Cal,

I believe I have done that in light of the scriptures posted previously that say:

John 8:31-32- - To the Judeans who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. God bless you.

Brother, if you want to glorify Jesus, start with the man in the mirror (even MJ had some good ideas). You've got to be willing to work through theology and be challenged. You can't just subject hop when things get complicated.

Hi Cal,

I did not know I had done this.

I know that. Why do you think I told you?

Do you have a question for me?

Yes, if you could address some previous posts, that would be great. Do you think that cancer and cannibalism among animals was part of God's original "very good" design? For that's what we find in the fossil record that supposedly predates Adam's sin.

Is there a reason you don't trust the biblical timelines? Is there a reason you start with man's ideas over biblical revelation?

Why do you think showing a distrust in Genesis by advocating the day-age theory is a good witness for the gospel?

There are others as well. Like you, I want to see God glorified, but the first step has to be the church trust His Word over man's word, don't you think?

Hi all,

So I might fruitfully mentor others on this forum, if anyone would read this post I would hope they would first consider the following sciptures:

2 Timothy 2:15-16- - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (KJV) (ESV) 16 But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.

Proverbs 9:8 - - Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

Proverbs 9:7 - - Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults ...

"All" of our efforts as Jesus' evangelists and holy ambassadors should be "focused" on "only" seeking to sow our life-efforts into good soil, as the Bereans were in Paul's day, who are capable of seeking for the truth concerning what was being taught them and then asking "legitimate" questions that could set souls free, and would not bind souls up with their own anger and scorn or enmities.

IF anyone speaks to "you" in an angry scornful tone while "you" are striving to be fruitful for Jesus, these should become "marked" by yourself and also by others for their tone and angers towards you personally that are obviously inappropriate, and should be shunned until they would repent and at least be more gracious towards you as Jesus and Paul and Moses and Solomon taught us to do towards any angry or scornful souls.

When repentance occurs, and true "helpfulness" towards God's efforts amongst us all is then being "offered" by a true "seeker", without then becoming a snare to anyone as the "religious" were continually seeking to do towards Jesus, legitimate helpful questions in a non-condescending tone would follow.

But always beware of the leaven of the scribes and Pharisees of Jesus' day since we still have these types in all of our modern day churches also.

I only wish to see Jesus glorified and the gates or hell and the works of Beelzebub annihilated during this pivotal hour, which is why I have posted "exactly" what I have. [1John 3:8b]

Since each post has for "me" had within each of them many truths that have set-me-free to "strive" to be more Holy than I have ever been at any other time in my life.

God bless all those who would strive to be Holy as Jesus is Holy.

PS - Holiness defined by scripture is - - "set apart for service" to "all" of mankind without favoritism, and the Trinity does this without favoritism so that eventually 1 John 3:8b would be fulfilled in the whole world amongst all nations as more "believers" would become "Holy" disciples of Jesus.

PPS - I do not have the greatness of Jesus' love flowing from me at this time in my life, but I am always asking for more to fill me up and make me fruitful and Holy as He is Holy, in as much a measure as I might attain to in this short life I have been given. I think we all must "start" this way, so I ask for your prayers that I might have the grace that I am requesting from heaven. INSHALLAH, Amen. In Jesus love, AJCServant

CHALLENGE QUESTION:

Would any young earth creationists reading this post, maybe
Calminian if you would be so kind, "help" me and others who now have an OEC view, by your taking a few moments to pray about the scriptures mentioned in the first sentence within the post using the hyper-link above?

AND THEN:

Would you be willing to post your views after you had "prayed" about those scriptures?

My prayer is that this will be an enlightening survey for me (and perhaps others) to understand how a young earth creationist would view these particular scriptures that define a "day-yom" in context, since at one time I also was an evangelistic believer in the young earth view, but I now believe I was taught a more "eternally-fruitful" view of the "whole-truth" by the wisdom of God that was imparted through fallible men, as I have elaborated upon in much detail via
this thread.

So I might fruitfully mentor others on this forum....

I'm not sure who sees you as a mentor here. What's clear is, you refuse to respond to any challenges from God's Word, and there are many verses that tell you the necessity of doing this. You've told this forum in essence that they can reinterpret the days of Genesis in order to make it compatible with modern naturalistic theories. You've never explained why you're justified in doing this.

Moses said,

Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbatha to the LORD....For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

You say this isn't true, and that a day is rather a long period for time, even billions of years. Hmm. That would make some work week.

Listening to you, I can only go back to what Jesus said in regard to arguing with Moses.

Luke 16:29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

Luke 16:30 “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

Luke 16:31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

John 5:46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.

Hi all
and Hi again Calminian,

Calminian, the goal I have always had of being a mentor to others is that even though ones omniscience is not as our God's is, and even though we most oftentimes see through a very cloudy glass, as long as we are striving to be, say and do what Jesus would be, say and do, we can be confident that we "are" being a mentor to others of His holiness [+] into the earth.

[+: Holiness defined via scripture is - - "set apart for service" to "all" of mankind, and the Trinity does this without favoritism so that eventually 1 John 3:8b would be fulfilled in the earth as more "believers" would become "Holy" disciples of Jesus.]

When you mentioned about "cannibalism" I must admit I was very shocked by your questionings and recognized that in this case the following scripture I had posted earlier was the guide I should follow on that occasion concerning profane, vain and irreverent babblings.

In hindsight can you find fault in my applying this scripture below on that occasion?

<>PPS There are several key scriptures that continually govern my thoughts, hopes and prayers for these threads, of which some are given below:

. . .

2 Timothy 2:15-16 - - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (KJV) (ESV) 16 But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.
. . .

You post also questioned as follows.

You've told this forum in essence that they can reinterpret the days of Genesis in order to make it compatible with modern naturalistic theories. You've never explained why you're justified in doing this.

Moses said,

You say this isn't true, and that a day is rather a long period for time, even billions of years. Hmm. That would make some work week.

Listening to you, I can only go back to what Jesus said in regard to arguing with Moses.

Now concerning why I felt "justified" to ask questions within this forum since my present views have "set me free" to understand our Creator God's nature and character better, and so I had hoped would also set some others free, was also given in the previous post's scripture noted below.

<>PPS There are several key scriptures that continually govern my thoughts, hopes and prayers for these threads, of which some are given below:

. . .

John 8:31-32 - - To the Judeans who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
. . .

And finally, concerning why I felt "justified" with what I believed the Holy Spirit has shown me was a "legitimate" "seeking" question that could be asked concerning any YEC believers "viewpoint" via this forum, concerns a yowm or yom-day that within scripture is sometimes much much longer than a 24 hour x 60 minute x 60 second day.

The following scriptures are both cases in point concerning the Hebrew word
יוֹם yowm or yom with Strong's #H3117.

2Kings 10:36 KJV - - And the "time" [i.e. yowm or yom w/ Strong's #H3117] that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years.

So that this word for "time" yowm or yom was 28 years.

1Chronicles 29:27 KJV - - The "time" [i.e. yowm or yom w/ Strong's #H3117] that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

So that this word for "time" yowm or yom was 40 years.

And then in the New Testament Peter wrote:

2Peter 3:8 KJV - - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So in my view when Peter used the word "day" he was saying (1000years x 365days/year) x (1000years x 365days/year) = 365,000^2 days within one of our Creator God's days.

Although what Peter was "obviously" implying was that a day in our Creator God's terminology may "sometimes" be a very very very long time.

So that Peter's view is especially "helpful" for us all to understand IF we are to be a fruitful witness to those in the scientific community who could be encouraged into a mentoring-encouraging relationship within a fellowship body of other intelligent believers, and ultimately with our intelligent Creator God, IF those believers would have been helpful enough to give that scientific person a "deeper" understanding about His creator than he had previously.

CHALLENGE QUESTION:

So again let me ask, would any in this forum with a YEC view be willing to explain these three scriptures to me/us so that we might understand each other better in our pursuit of the whole-truth which would never "slander" our Creator God and would only promote godliness and holiness [+] in ourselves and others?

[+: Holiness defined via scripture is - - "set apart for service" to "all" of mankind, and the Trinity does this without favoritism so that eventually 1 John 3:8b would be fulfilled in the earth as more "believers" would become "Holy" disciples of Jesus.]

Strong's Number H3117 matches the Hebrew יוֹם (yowm ), which occurs 2,287 times in 1,931 verses in the Hebrew concordance of the KJV.

The KJV translates Strongs H3117 in the following manner:

day (2,008x), time (64x), chronicles (with H1697) (37x), daily (44x), ever (18x), year (14x), continually (10x), when (10x), as (10x), while (8x), full 8 always (4x), whole (4x), alway (4x), misc (44x).

The NASB translates Strongs H3117 in the following manner:

afternoon* (1), age (8), age* (1), all (1), always* (14), amount* (2), battle (1), birthday* (1), Chronicles* (38), completely* (1), continually* (14), course* (1), daily (22), daily the days (1), day (1115), day of the days (1), day that the period (1), day's (6), day's every day (1), daylight* (1), days (635), days on the day (1), days to day (1), days you shall daily (1), days ago (1), days' (11), each (1), each day (4), entire (2), eternity (1), evening* (1), ever in your life* (1), every day (2), fate (1), first (5), forever* (11), forevermore* (1), full (5), full year (1), future* (1), holiday* (3), later* (2), length (1), life (12), life* (1), lifetime (2), lifetime* (1), live (1), long (2), long as i live (1), long* (11), midday* (1), now (5), older* (1), once (2), period (3), perpetually* (2), present (1), recently (1), reigns (1), ripe* (1), short-lived* (1), so long* (1), some time (1), survived* (2), time (45), time* (1), times* (2), today (172), today* (1), usual (1), very old* (1), when (10), when the days (1), whenever (1), while (3), whole (2), year (10), yearly (5), years (13), yesterday* (1).

Yikes! Do you always go on and on like this? I'm trying to picture you at the dinner table.

At any rate, you're still dodging the challenges that have been put to you and now are going off topic on your own thread. I'd put the mentoring dream on hold. You can't even focus on simple subject-matters.

LOL. And I just noticed you're responding to yourself in your other thread. Come on man, focus. I'm just trying to have a dialog here.

Hi all,

In response to the previous post I thought I would "focus" and post this challenge question "again".

CHALLENGE QUESTION:

So "again" let me ask, would any in this forum with a YEC view be willing to explain these three scriptures to me/us so that we might understand each other better in our pursuit of the whole-truth which would never "slander" our Creator God and would only promote godliness and holiness [+] in ourselves and others?

And the most important verse is in the New Testament written by the born-again-coverted Peter, (who was according to Jesus "greater" than any Old Testament writer before John the Baptist), who wrote:

2Peter 3:8 KJV - - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So in my view when Peter used the word "day" he was saying (1000years x 365days/year) x (1000years x 365days/year) = 365,000^2 days within one of our Creator God's "yom-days".

Although what Peter was "obviously" implying was that a "yom-day" in our Creator God's terminology that He inspired the Old Testament writers to use via the word "yom" may "sometimes" be a very very very long time.

This was answered in post #23 on this thread, and likely other places. The problem is you're in mentor mode. You simply ignored it. I suppose I could cut and paste the response again, but you'd just ignore it again. If you're really sincere you'll go back and read it.

Here's a good article on the issue as well, if you're willing to listen.

“With God One Day is a Thousand Years”?

Bottom line, you're doing much harm to the gospel, saying that only half the Bible can be read in a straightforward way.

Hi all,

Concerning the above post, could any YEC believer help make it more plain to me and all those who would read this post someday?

Since within all the many many writings in post #23 and the article above, it is NOT very plain to "me" what is being said about a day-yom sometimes being as Peter wrote and then I wrote my own epiphanies concerning:

<><> <><

2Peter 3:8 KJV - - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So in my view when Peter used the word "day" he was saying (1000years x 365days/year) x (1000years x 365days/year) = 365,000^2 days within one of our Creator God's "yom-days".

<><> <><

So that in my view, according to what Peter was relating, 365,000^2 earth days for a yom-day in our Creator God's eyes may "sometimes" perhaps have been roughly 365 million years with our present earth rotations of 365 day years.

So I pray it is "enlightening" to some who would read this thread that this
365 million years for each yom-day would roughly coincide with our Creator's Genesis "creation" yom-days, that to me and most others in our world today, is what was "obviously" required to build up the earth from a rock in our Solar System, that was then transformed via water-ice comets hurled into it, and was then seeded over and over after each obvious extinction event with new forms of plankton etc., to eventually become what would adequately support the first land animals, which is what the present scientific estimates show via the geologic index fossil records noted within the original post.

Ultimately I hope and pray that if and when more good-hearted people would consider how long it took the Heavenly Host of eternal angels to build the New Jerusalem mentioned in
Revelation 21:10-21, where Jesus went back to further build mansion-dwellings for His newly created-converted joint- heir ambassadors, then the time it took to "build" the earth to be able to support the first human would make much more sense - I pray.

Ultimately, we are all in training to be a little more like the good shepherd Jesus every day, one day and one step at a time, and when our "heart" is "right", the Holy Spirit will make us fruitful towards "ministering" to scientists who truly "need" a deeper understanding of our Creator God than they presently have.

And "He" will give the intelligence and wisdom to not remain ignorant but to be fruitful for Jesus' sake, since these new converts that we have been called to mentor will someday be our own inheritance and vice-versa when we are all joint- heir ambassadors "alongside" our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; in Heaven above and in the "New Earth" that will eventually come into this world after the works of the devil have been destroyed. Marana tha, Amen, INSHALLAH.

Shalom in Jesus,

PS - Concerning the good-news-gospel that I have read out loud to many others via the scriptures. The "whole- truth" is that ever since Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden mankind has been in a warfare in the
invisible spiritual realm over who would ultimately rule and reign over this planet. Either the Trinity of God and His joint-heir ambassador angelic-saints and holy heavenly host OR the devil. But be encouraged that the good news is that Colossians 1:20

and "all" "holy" scripture says that we have "all" been "predestined"
since Adam and Eve to build up our earth with God's help throughout the millennia ahead to become a microcosm of the Heaven above after this war with the devil is over, and after we have "each" been "adequately" trained to choose good over evil and righteousness over unrighteousness. [Revelation 21 and Zechariah 14:10]

And that no matter how seduced, oppressed, depressed, possessed, suicidal and self destructive anyone has ever been at the time of their passing, our Creator God knows each of our eternal souls intimately and individually, and He also knows the devil's wiles, and He will righteously judge and continue to chain up the devil's minions, [+] but will give each of those who would simply "commit" to obey His two laws of love an inheritance in Heaven no matter how much we erred in this life due to the devil's wiles.

Whereby "all" of mankind since Adam and Eve have been either possessed OR seduced by the slanderers Beelzebub, Gog, Magog, and their many minions who for roughly a few thousand years have worked to wrest the inheritance
[*]
of our world from Jesus and His heavenly host of joint-heir angel-saints, amongst whom we are "all" growing-up to take our place as rightful joint-heirs into the eternity ahead of us.
