I enjoyed Dan's posts in the "prepping" threads. I only just recently learned of his passing and my prayers go out to his family during their time of grief.

One of the last remarks he made in those threads is

"i'd rather just surrender. nobody's getting out of this world alive anyway."

I remember thinking sometimes we do have to "surrender to win" just like when we surrender our lives to Christ.

I am truly sorry to hear about him passing; may your grief be brief and your memories be fond.

love you bro! pretty messed up what they pulled here but you know all the old crew know what's up and will always honor your memory. you were one of the true good souls I've met in life and I'll always miss you.

NO matter what you were like in the end, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU DAN! And we will never stop talking about how you were encouraging even in your time of pain and despair. RIP DAN!
