John 6:63 - It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing.

1 John 5:16 - If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.

2 Corinthians 3:6
For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

James 2:26
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

1 John 5:16
If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.

Romans 8:10-13
If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

1 Corinthians 15:45
So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

John 6:63
It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing.

Galatians 6:8
For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Romans 8:8
Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.

Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

Romans 8:9
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

Romans 9:8
That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as heirs.

1 John 3:9-10
Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.

1 Corinthians 2:12
But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

1 John 4:6
We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn’t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Ephesians 4:30-32
Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Romans 13:10
Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

1 John 3:4
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from every form of evil.

1 Timothy 1:8-11
But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it lawfully, as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man slayers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine; according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

Romans 13:12-14
The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

1 John 3:15
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

Ephesians 5:3-6
But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints; nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks. Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

Colossians 3:5-11
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. You also once walked in those, when you lived in them; but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth. Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator, 11 where there can’t be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.

Galatians 5:17-26
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.

Revelation 21:8
But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Revelation 22:15
Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

2 Timothy 2:15-19
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness, and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some. However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”

Titus 3:9-11
but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning; knowing that such a one is perverted and sins, being self-condemned.

1 Peter 2:1-4
Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking, as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious: coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.

1 Corinthians 5:11-13
But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person. For what have I to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are within? But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.”

2 Thessalonians 3:14
If any man doesn’t obey our word in this letter, note that man, that you have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles. And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Galatians 2:4-5
This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage; to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.

Matthew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

1 John 4:1
Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Matthew 10:25
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!

2 Corinthians 6:14-16
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

Does this creed exist today? Do they have the holy spirit?

1. Is that a serious question? Where the rules of this website read when you signed to join, thereby agreeing to follow them?
2. How does a belief have either a sex or the dwelling of God?

I am not here to fight. Please, go in peace.

Judge not lest ye be judged. God is watching. Once a cursed seed is planted it shall grow into a tree. Branches shall sprout and leaves shall grow. May the will of the Most High God be done.

Do I have the Holy Spirit?

Yes, I am baptized. God has promised His Holy Spirit to all who are baptized. When I was washed with the water and the Word, those words, "baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" were spoken, and God sealed me into Christ, placed me into Him, made me a child of the Father, and sealed me with the Holy Spirit. This I can know for God's Word has promised it so.

That seems to be a part of my faith. However, what is a catholic?

It's from the Greek katholikos, meaning "according to the whole" or "universale". The katholike ekklesia (ekklesia = church) means "the whole church" or "the entire church".

The Christian Church is everyone in Christ, instituted by Christ, there is only one Church, and that Church is catholic, holy, and apostolic.

It is catholic because the faith of the Church is believed "everywhere, always, and by all"--it is what Christians have always believed and confessed, as we see confessed here in the Nicene Creed.

It is holy because Christ has sanctified and cleansed her by His death and resurrection, by the grace of God joining us to Him.

It is apostolic because it stands upon the teaching and preaching of Christ's own apostles, the Church rests upon the foundation of the "Prophets and Apostles" as Scripture says. We could rightly infer "Prophets and Apostles" here also to be Old and New Testaments of the Bible, i.e. the Prophets of ancient Israel, and the Apostles of Jesus Christ.

Catholicity is a constituent part of what makes the Church the Church. There is no Christian Church apart from the Church catholic. This is why, for example, Lutherans such as myself identify as Catholic Christians, same with Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Anglicans, and so on and so forth.

I am still learning but I have been baptized in water.

Then you are baptized, and according to God's promises to you you have the Holy Spirit,

"And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" - Acts 2:38

"He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit," - Titus 3:5

"For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit." - 1 Corinthians 12:13

"Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'" - John 3:5

If you are Christ's, you have the Holy Spirit in you; because all who are baptized into Christ have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).

Interesting, I wonder where my beliefs will go. I just want the truth. There are so many different "churches." Where do I go? If I made a list of my beliefs, would someone be able to help me?

Romans 5:6
For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:8
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:8
But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;

Romans 8:34
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Romans 14:9
For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Romans 14:15
Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

1 Corinthians 8:11
And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died.

1 Corinthians 15:3For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.

Galatians 2:21
I don’t make void the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!
