Let me repeat...

Yeah but his point is (probably) that they've been syncretized with the neighboring religions to some extent, which would not surprise me. There was a group called Kaifeng Jews in China which was completely absorbed. They tend to last longer and be less assimilated in the West than in the East.

Israeli Chief Rabbi Welcomes Newly Arrived Bnei Menashe

Israeli Chief Rabbi Welcomes Newly Arrived Bnei Menashe Tribe | United with Israel

Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi, Shlomo Amar, met with a group of 274 Bnei Menashe Olim Chadashim (new immigrants) who recently arrived in Israel, in order to congratulate them.

According to the oral traditions of the Bnei Menashe tribe, their ancestors managed to escape from Assyrian slavery by fleeing to Persia. From there, they traveled through Afghanistan towards India, Tibet, and then finally, Kaifeng, China. The Bnei Menashe claimed that their ancestors were enslaved again in China, causing many Jews to flee and reside in caves. In 100 CE, their holy scrolls were burned and the Bnei Menashe Jews were forced out of China. In India today, members of the Kuki tribe, of whom many Bnei Menashe are part, are treated like outsiders and are constantly fighting with the Nagas, who seek to rid them from the region.

The Indian Jewish culture is truly amazing...

Jews have been a presence in India back to antiquity. ...as the Jewish population increased during WW II as many Jews sought refuge here from the Nazis. Not long after, more than half of the Jewish community immigrated to Israel. ... There were only 29 synagogues left in the 1960s and now there are 18 left. And the Indian Jewish Community is mainly divided into three sects: Bene Israels from Konkan and Mumbai (Bombay); Baghdadi from Mumbai (Bombay) and Kolkata and Cochinis from Kerala.

As far as I'm aware, many of the communities in India that're Jewish have had relative peace/support from amongst others in the nation. In example, because of the region's tolerance for ethnic diversity--the Indians saw Jews as just another cast--a Jewish community flourished in Cochin for thousands of years, without prejudice or pogroms. The Cochin Jews were accepted by the Hindu rulers, and for the most part lived in a peaceful environment.....and as it turns out, the major reason for this phenomenon is the predominance of the Hindu caste system. Considered their own separate caste, the Jews did not disrupt Indian society - something that many do not know about due to an ignorance of the diversity of Jewish society. As long as they married and socialized in their own group, which they did enthusiastically, the other castes had nothing to complain about....ironic in light of the fact that Indian Jews have been discriminated against within Israel and have to deal with duality.

And with Indian Jews, their contribution to India’s economy, society and government have been recognized by various historians, writers and the government. And as it is, what's intriguing is witnessing how (as said before) Indian Jews have never suffered anti-semitism India.....and there's already extensive amounts of Indians that've converted over to Judaism....from Christianity. There was one video I saw on the issue that may be of benefit, called Indian (Mumbai) Doctor converts to Judaism and now live in Kiryat Arba

All of that's interesting, seeing how both CHRISTIANITY and JUDAISM are Monotheistic/believing in One God (something others often say are reasons for why Hindu Terrorists attack the believers in India)--and yet, the Jewish system is what seems to get more acceptance across the wall.

According to their oral accounts, regarding one group of Indian Jews known as the Bene Israel, in 1931 Gandhi met with a number of Bene Israel to discuss the possible participation of Indian Jews in the nationalist movement and suggested that they join hands with Indian nationalists in the event of their victory but not get involved in wider politics before that time, as they represented such a small minority that they should be concerned chiefly with their own safety. ......more discussed in Gandhi and the Challenge of Religious Diversity

Moreover, when Mahatma Gandhi embarked on his long fasts to protest the British occupation of his country, a Bene Israel doctor named Abraham Solomon Erulkar was often at his side, tending to his medical needs...and Gandhi did establish contacts with several Jews in his endeavors/campaigns (some of which were faithful allies in his campaign for immigrant Indians )- even though he was less sympathetic to the Jewish religion than he was to Jews themselves.

A group of 40 Bnei Menashe made Aliyah today from India, the first batch out of a total of 250 immigrants from the Lost Tribe that are slated to arrive over the coming month. The immigrants, who hail from the northeastern Indian state of Manipur, were brought to Israel by Shavei Israel, which received permission from the Israeli government last October to bring 900 Bnei Menashe to the Jewish state by 2015. Earlier this year, Shavei Israel brought 160 Bnei Menashe on Aliyah from the Indian state of Mizoram. The Bnei Menashe are descendants of the tribe of Menashe (or Manasseh), one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel which were exiled by the Assyrian empire after the death of King Solomon more than 2,700 years ago.

There is "Indonesian Jews" in South East Asia.
The ancestors of Indonesian Jews were Dutch Jews immigrated to Indonesia through VOC (Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie) to trade spices.

I knew one of them personally in my kehillah, but sadly, he converted later to Orthodox Judaism. He is a one-quarter Jew.

Totally only 12(7+5) Chinese Jews immigrated to Israel and need conversion. Much more false Jews or persons who have no clear Israeli identity than real Chinese Jews. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish.

Their fate in Israel would be like Ethiopian Jews, which are discriminated racially because their looks are different than what "regular Jews" look like (Ashkenazim and Sephardim - which are "White Mediterranean Caucasian").

My friend Barry Segal has been to western China and met many of those "Sinim," the Chinese Jews. He said they are easy to spot as they all have very curly hair.

Are you sure they are not Uigur or other similar minority?
