I guess that I humanize District 9 and, instead of seeing the two aliens as just aliens, I see them as father and son. I realize it was a weird one to put on this forum, but it does have an emotional punch hidden in it (for me, anyway).

Also, Fireproof, Faith like potatoes, A Walk to Remember, Passion of the Christ, The Note Book... (the ending always gets me)

The very first one I remember really touching my heart as a profoundly deep, emotionally stirring and a dark story of unrequited love..was "Wuthering Heights." So many times since the original B/W versions with Merle Oberon and Lawrence Olivier others have tried to capture the mood of the first one. None could ever measure up to the performances and the mood it conveyed. I never forgot it.

Hugo. Absolutley Amazing.

Do yourself a favor and go see it.

Me too. It's cute. Sad as well.


The Polar Express,I cry as soon as the boy opens up his gift and hears the bell and nobody else does...and that ending song. I cried like a baby in the theatre! BECAUSE..it brings back memories of that innocence as a kid I had.

The most touching story I have watched is 1968 classic "Romeo and Juliet". Great movie that won multiple awards the year it was released.
