How ARe You Doing? (VANITY)

Most everything is on the verge of $20 or is over. Took a Pay cut and now facing taxing inflation. Depressing an disheartening to say the least.

Um, inflation has been very low during the past few years. We even had a slight deflation rate for some months in 2009.

Current Inflation

Notice how abruptly inflation stopped in November 2008 - inflation is entirely artificial. It has less to do with the actual state of the economy and more with the perception and attitude that consumers and corporations have about government. Stocks and prices fluctuate depending solely on the proximity of elections and the outcome of those elections, and it doesn't matter which side wins. When it isn't dependent on elections it's dependent on current events.

It has to do with the printing of money...... Just look at world trade an our resources. How about the spike in oil an the drop in the dollar..... Mirrored or Paralleled!

The only reason we have survived this long as a nation is because the world uses our dollar as the world currency or standard but if we keep printing an borrowing money that is about to change.

We could go with the socialist option and abolish currency and everything works on a trade and share option.

Socialistic Gov'ts never have worked. Our republic Gov't has lasted longer than any socialist Gov't in the world...... Most turn over in 50 yrs or sooner! I equate my time as money.... When do you concider yourself no longer free? At 50% tax , 65%, 75% , 85% even to say 100% because if we don't decide before the fact the Gov't will take us wherever they fall. If the Gov't takes 50% in tax then they just take four hours of your days work And have enslaved you for 50% of your time or day even if it takes you 12 hrs to make ends meet..... Time is money!

Socialism isn't a government style, it's an economic style. You can easily have a Democratic Republic with a socialist economy.

Taxes aren't the only thing that determines freedom. And it's rather selfish of you to assume your freedom is determined by taxes - as a Christian, is your money that important to you?

I'm selfish now lol. I'm to get a service for my taxation or is it a entitlement for those that haven't earned it? I have bleed, sweat and tears for what I have earned. What is Your GPA.... If it is a 4.0 maybe you would like to give up some of those points for those that aren't as fortunate as you? Nobody has given me anything even to say any Gov't socialist programs!

It is easy to say take until you have been taken from. I guess it depend which side your on. The Gov't is to protect ones property..... If money that I've earned isn't my property then what is it then?

And how much is enough.... You haven't answered me that question? The Gov't isn't to pick winners an losers... Equal under the law an equal opportunity, not social justice.

Btw how can society socially equalize Gods gifts that are given to the individual, not everyone can be Pacaso or Einstein?Is it a helping hand or a pulling anther down? See the Gov't can't do anything unless it first takes it from you.

Personal responsiblity comes to mind, furthermore we can acknowledge perplexing issues, but until we have lived it....we can't completely get our minds around it.....until we experience it first hand. Jesus understood this...... One way isn't the only way, if you can see what I mean. why do people look both ways before they cross the street? We have to be balanced in our approach to both sides of the issues, because both are important to the on lookers crossing the street!

Indeed, socialism is an economic system; however, it almost always leads to a totalitarian government.

Hasn't in my country nor in any number of others. Perhaps you might like to look up the difference between Socialism and Communism?

I am aware that Communism is a political system and Socialism is an economic system; and, that Communism dosen't work without Socialism. I am also aware that there are several variations of Socialism. All of which impede on the liberties of the people in some way. New Zealand does not have the best track record for free speech.

You might try that argument with someone who was NOT involved with the 1981 Springbok tour protests as I was.

I'm doing alright. I'm surviving at least. Right now I'm less worried about money and more with fighting my depression.
