I have posted here before asking for prayers as I go through my divorce. I mentioned that my wife was not Orthodox and did not exactly have a friendly view towards Orthodoxy.
Well, last night she wanted to watch the 60 Minutes story on Mt. Athos, since she knew I had spent three months there before we met. Apparently, watching the story made her want to go to Liturgy. She wants to go next week and she wants to take notes and she asked if I would explain everything to her afterwards.
I asked her what changed and she said watching the special. She said one thing that was said was about how this is the true Church and she actually does believe that. I'm not sure, beyond that, would influenced her, but I am very thankful.
Our divorce is set for a final hearing this month, but I am hopeful that she will still come to the Faith, even though it'll be after the divorce. That she comes back to God fully is what is important, not that she be with me. Right now, she has no foundation, period...in any belief. She is Christian, but doesn't know exactly what she believes. She asks a lot of questions, and I do my best to answer them right. I found one way to give her Orthodox answers without calling them Orthodox was to say "in the early Church" which has worked.
For now, I ask prayers from you all for her. That she will come to God. Right now, she is spiritually lost. Please pray that the seed fall on fertile ground.
