Shark Week: Educational or just sharks-ploitation ?

I disagree!

There's some "educational" value, but mostly sharks are just really cool.

Having seen Finding Nemo, I have to say they're not at all what I expected.

Perhaps you are getting more aroused and in a different manner than most viewers. I often watch Shark Week while holding a beer or other adult beverage. What are you doing while watching? I sense your endorphin dump during seal death is a bit higher that mine.

I'm pretty sure I saw a licence plate with the letters NEMO on it. That was in France and the French don't do vanity plates, I'm pretty sure I found him.

Interesting topic, I'm not sure why this is in the Catholic section, but anyway....

I would say that Shark Week is educational, as a lot (not all, but a lot) of what the Discovery channel produces is. I, being a fan of mythbusters, would tune in to as many shows as possible on discovery channel if they had an "Explosion week" and how many of you (Be honest now, lying is a sin) would not tune in as much as possible for an "explosion week"?

While it may be using Sharks, who humans have an affinity for, to get viewers, it is still educational.
