Shofar Blasts

About 5-7 years ago I heard LOUD SHOFAR BLASTS. It was coming from the top of my house! I WAS VERY MUCH AWAKE. The Shofar blasts lasted for about 45 minutes to an hour. Towards the end I heard a trumpet
as well.
Then about three to four months later I also so saw ROUND STARS IN THE SKY...two of them, one larger then the other!!! They were both yellow. VERY CLOSE to where I was standing. I saw both stars every night for
about 2 months.

I don't know much of the shofar and probably should read a bit on it. I'm happy for you that you had such a victory. That would be awesome if the Lord is saying that my battle was done. I'll claim that with a hearty AMeN.

My original thought was an announcement of how close the Rapture is. I don't know I guess I will be shown when the time is right.

Here's some info...

"Exceeding loud,"... made all in the camp tremble (Exodus 19:16, 20:18)

In the Pentateuch the use of the shofar is prescribed for the announcement of the New Moon and solemn feasts (Numbers 10:10; Psalm 81:4), as also for proclaiming the year of release (Leviticus 25:9). The first day of the seventh month (Tishri) is especially termed "a memorial of blowing" (Leviticus 23:24), or "a day of blowing" (Numbers 29:1), the shofar; and the modern use of the instrument survives especially in this connection.

In earlier days it was employed also in other religious ceremonials, as processions (2 Samuel 5:15; 1 Chronicles 15:28), or in the orchestra as an accompaniment to the song of praise (Psalm 98:6; comp. ib. xlvii. 5).

More frequently it was used as the signal-horn of war, like the silver trumpets mentioned in Numbers 10:9 (see Joshua 6:4; Judges iii. 27; vii. 16, 20; 1 Samuel 13:3).A. F. L. C.

The teḳi'ah was "a plain deep sound ending abruptly; the teru'ah, a trill between two teḳi'ahs. These three sounds, constituting a bar of music, were rendered three times: first in honor of theocracy, or "malkiyot" (kingdom); then to recall the 'Aḳedah and to cause the congregation to be remembered before God, or "zikronot" (remembrances); a third time to comply with the precept regarding the shofar.

Ten appropriate verses from the Bible were recited at each repetition, which ended with a benediction (R. H. 16a). Doubt, however, arose as to the sound of the teru'ah. Onḳelos translates "teru'ah" as "yabbaba"; but the Talmud is uncertain whether it means an outcry ("yelalah") or a moaning ("geniḥah") sound.

The former was supposed to be composed of three connected short sounds; the latter, of nine very short notes divided into three disconnected or broken sounds ("shebarim"). The duration of the teru'ah is equal to that of the shebarim; and the teḳi'ah is half the length of either (R. H. iv. 9).

I once heard someone link the 3 sounds to the Father (plain deep sound), the Son (mournful sound), & the Holy Spirit (9 short notes - 9 fruit, 9 gifts) - if I recall correctly. This also seems to fit with your three descriptions Heron - Father (honor of theocracy); Son (cause the congregation to be remembered before God), Holy Spirit (comply with the precept) - moves us to follow God's decrees & be careful to keep His laws (Ezek 36:27).

Ruoycss & Gracechick - interested to know - was it a single sustained sound you heard or a were there variations such as Heron described?

Firewater,

It was totally awsome...the first one I heard on my roof top. There was more then one shofar blasting at a time!!! continioulsy non stop! One long blow or one short, 2 blows long and short, 3 blows long and short. etc etc. When I origianlly posted this on a different site...someone from Austrailia wrote back & said that he had heard loud trmpet sounds.

gracechick,
I too was under the impression of how close the rapture is...when I first read your shofar blast!!!

Anyone else hear trumpet or Shofar blasts recently? Twice in the past few weeks I've heard what sounds like a trumpet blast in my spirit.

I never have.

OP, and others who have heard this:

Trumpet blasts in Revelation. Can you tie these in with those at all?

(Note how those are tied in with Joshua, Gideon.)

ROUND STARS IN THE SKY

Your dream includes both the trumpet sound of one of the 7 Trumpet Angels mentioned in Rev. Ch. 8 and the appearance of the 7 Star Angels who are watchers of the 7 Churches that exist throughout the Age of Man.

I don't remember hearing trumpets...only shofar blasts. Oh, and I was very much awake! Not sleeping.

A shofar is an animal horn, a non-metallic trumpet. You can listen to them by pointing and clicking on the hyperlink:

  • Shofar sounding the Tekiah: the "blast," one long blast with a clear tone.
  • Shofar sounding the Shevarim: a "broken," sighing sound of three short calls.
  • The Teruah: the "alarm," a rapid series of nine or more very short notes.
  • The Tekiah Gedolah: "the great Tekiah," a single unbroken blast, held as long as possible.
