Its witchcraft! Harry Potter pushing same-sex marriage

When HP first came out, I found it to be an allegory to Christianity.
HP is disliked by his family (the World), who values status, wealth, pleasure, gluttony, and leisure. They tell Harry that he is nothing.
But Harry is honored in the other world. (We are princes and princesses in the eyes of God.) Harry must face HeWhoMustNotBeNamed (Satan). On his way, he meets Malfoy (dark Forces), Dumbledore always seems to know what Harry in doing, but allows him to learn on his own rather than intervene. Harry shows loyalty to friends, courage, chooses to refrain from returning Malfoy's taunts. He often must choose between doing what he really wants to (sock Malfoy in the nose), or to the right thing.
And why was Harry "saved"? Because of the deep bond of love his parents had for him. It triumphed over darkness.
He cast spells, just as we pray to God to overcome dark forces that attack us (Defense of the Dark Forces). He is able to do magic. We are able to move mountains, do miracles in God's name.
And then the Christians ran to their children, and said, "why are you reading this? This is of the devil!"

I haven't read all the way to the current book. I thought Dumbledore was dead. Doesn't his sexual orientation seem a bit irrelevant then?

sshhhhh that's a spoiler. Just read the book.
i will say this. the last book deals alot with Dumbledore past, and if the writer had not said after the fact that he was gay, I probably would not have made the connection, and i can usually see that stuff coming a mile away.

Because he was a major celebrity, both as a musician, and as a tabloid story-magnet...
...were any of the others who died a bigger celebrity than Michael Jackson? Is there any celebrity bigger than Michael Jackson?
I think you are conflating media hype with simple media coverage of the stories and people that are of greatest interest to the broadest audience, here.
