I have had my Windows Vista for more than a year now. I have learned that I can not add an extra computer thru a direct cable link, because Vista does not have that capability. I have the Hp pocket media which only works on a new HP. In other words, worthless! I have received hundreds of update patches for which has slowed my computer to a crawl. Vista requires all new software. A Vista program automatically rewrote some of my software so it will not work the why it was intended, nor work on another computer. It is not possible to partition the drive to install Linux, because of the new windows code. The software creates massive amounts of junk code; like Gigabytes of junk code. HTML editing is an editors worst nightmare because of the junk code. Many of the glitches are still not fixed. You have to relearn how to use the new software versions. Adds are built into the software. I have all kinds of external traffic from the different software I use. I have to agree to the adds, external traffic, and for them to collect info on me to use Vista. Vista is more expensive to maintain in different ways. And the list go's on and on. So what do you think?

CAUTION: HP does not recommend changing the operating system from Windows Vista to Windows XP and does not support doing so. The outcome may leave your computer in an unknown state, functionality may be diminished, and you may need to acquire Windows XP compatible application software, drivers, or even hardware.
