I started drinking more coffee in the past month and yesterday the Lord put in my heart to lay off it entirely for 3 days. And I see your post! Oh no! Actually I'm doing okay because I'm not addicted to it.

Thanks! I had to repent for my bad attitude. I was terribly convicted after my husband's sermon. I'm so thankful that we have the money to take care of this. The Lord is so faithful and always provides.

Hi Cindy! I love coffee and Diet Mountain Dew so I have to be careful to balance them. I usually drink a lot of water too though.

good evening or morning where you are

Good morning!
I was sick for a couple of weeks at the end of May, and since then I just don't seem to want coffee like I used to. A half a cup in the morning and I am set.

It was so hot here the past several days! I've been drinking lots of water, I was pretty dehydrated without even realizing it at first. Thankfully it's cooler here today.

Barbara, I know what you mean about a bad attitude. I had a terrible mood the other day when it was so hot. The first few days of summer weather every year, I feel so worn out from the heat. It takes me a little while to adjust. I've had to do some apologizing myself. ;-)

Hi Amylisa! My bad attitude was due to a terrible weekend camping trip that turned into a financial expense. I kind of let it ruin the trip for me. I really had to repent because I found myself looking at the negative side of things instead of seeing the good side.

I will have a coffee with you any day Barb, I am not addicted but I love coffee

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong tokeep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount?
Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift fromGod' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.'

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'
'Yes' he replied.
'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'




Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is areally scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You
carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'




Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

The big storm last week left me without internet for a week. The repairman just left & I'm glad to be back!!!!!
