Haha! I love that he demands a $200,000 speaking fee, plus travel, expenses, and accommodations. Do you think he'd be free to have come in and speak, or do you think that he must be pretty booked with such a low fee as that? ;-)

Did anyone look at this work experience (about 2/3 way down the page)... he must be like 400 years old to have worked in all those fields at that level... but pretty good from tortilla maker to bishop

Not to mention this: Qualified for and received a License as an Importer of Distilled Spirits.

Nope.

I think she should either supply the name and parish of the alleged priest, even if he's reposed by now, or else stop claiming that this is true.

Having been in various charismatic churches - the most 'charismatic' thing I have ever seen in an Orthodox church was a parishoner who would raise her hands slightly, palms upward as she prayed and the occasional, liturgical "laying on of hands" by the priest.

Have never seen:

• speaking in tongues
• random people from off the street pacing up and down in front of the church proclaiming they can see little tongues of fire over everyone's head
• a person rocking back and forth in their chair while beating their chest with their arm and moaning for 3 straight hours
• A sermon that won't end until someone acknowledges that the prophetic word received during it refers to them and comes up to receive Jesus
• Dancing
• Uncontrollable laughter
• and/or being 'slain in the spirit'.

all of which I have seen (and sometimes done ) in charismatic churches. YMMV.
