With saddest, pained hearts
We read of crimes by churchmen
Once trusted with kids.
We read about men who
wanted some pleasure, delight
in unhealthy thrills.
Oh bad men who hurt
these innocent ones, how can you
hide behind the Cross?
Killing their spirits,
exhausting their souls, harming their
bodies, for your bliss.
Oh bad men who harmed,
why didn't you take your bliss
in being men of God?
Why didn't you take
it all to the Cross, and give
your sick sin to God?
Repent you bad men,
and show us your grief, let tears
wash you and us clean.
