How many of you have had a dream you believed was from God?

Upon asking the Holy Spirit to come and dwell within me, I have had several. And in my relationship with God, it truly comes from asking for this and praying.

My first several dreams (over the past year) were incredible.

The last two dreams, however, have been directed solely towards violence and hatred among men.

***********************************************************
In my two dreams there are riots, terrible; music that I have not heard, that is chanting and very strong. Machine gun killing openly on the streets, in cars, it was crazy. I watched from a crevice in a mountain (yes, I was frightened) as policemen were gunned down in many rows, ambushed by these men. The killing was nothing to them. The riots were large and hateful. This continued on and on. And I heard in my mind, these words, "fear not them who can kill the body..." and was comforted.

Could this be a glimpse of our future shift in society? I honestly don't know.

Just for the record, I don't have nightmares or dreams of this nature. I have pondered over posting this, but decided that maybe there are others who would like to share something.

hey wildfire! I'd like to hear of these dreams you have...

I am a firm believer in the power of dreams, as I know God talks to me through them. I have been tested many times in my dreams..

One dream, I was rising up to heaven through the clouds and I knew exactly where I was going and I was so happy and full of love. But then I suddenly realised how high up I was and just a dropplet of fear came over me and I began falling. This taught me how much faith we really need to have in order to enter through the gates of heaven.

In other dreams, I have battled evil spirits...I used to battle them with man's weapons, like guns and such. They would have no effect on the spirit. Then I began praying in my dreams and asking Jesus for help, and the evil spirits vanished. I also sometimes used my acquired powers, like imagination to battle them. Basically, whatever you think is true in a dream will happen..I've made myself become invisible sometimes...other times I would travel at the speed of light to escape them...

Still, in other dreams, I would be aware of my dream (coined: "lucid dreaming"). In these dreams, I would tell other people that they were in my dream. Some actually believed me. One time I told all my friends they were in my dream and then I taught them how to fly. It was quite fun.

Also, I've conquered my fear of heights through my dreams because I've mastered flying now. I can basically go anywhere I want...one time i left earth and travel into space. :)

But of course this all depends on the night..sometimes i just get dry dreams that are simply reflections of your subconscious....

Here is the condensed version of a dream I had a few months ago:

Jesus came to my house and ministered to me in a vivid dream I had. He sat on my couch and I confessed and cried to Him about everything I'd done wrong in my life. He had two men with him that I perceived to be angels. After a while, Jesus and the angels walked out my door and I said, "Bye; see you all later", then my alarm went off right after that.

To this day, I'm convinced that God gave me that dream to give me a "jump start". I've been saved since 16, but up until several months ago I only had a "head knowledge" in that I knew it was true (the Bible), but unfortunately I didn't think I fully appreciated Jesus' gift to me.

Rising Suns, I wish my dreams were as vived as your, I don't remember my dreams anymore, and when I "dream" it doesn't feel like dreaming, I can wake up any time I want to and usually the dream is just thinking about stuff instead of dreaming a story. Maybe my mind has gotten so lazy it won't even bother to dream up a story.

Once I had a dream that the endtimes were near because of a bright star in the sky. i wasn't sure if i was saved at that time, so I was very afraid.

Another time, it was the endtimes and Jesus and/or my dad were being carried around on this chair carried by servants. And it was supposedly the "spring" phase, and that there were going to be different seasons of the endtimes. It was a little strange, but more comforting than the first.
