What's God teaching you?

Hi lambslove,


God is teaching me patience. My children help with this lesson.

My hardest one is forgiveness. I live with an unbeliever and sometimes I have trouble with forgiving.

I think I am also being taught longsuffering....

I do not like any of this. I have been praying for my husband for 13 years. I struggle with this a lot. Sometimes I get mad at God. Sometimes I want to give up. Sometimes I feel like my husband will never be saved.

I feel like God is telling me sometimes (I've been through this before with Him on other issues) that I need to want Him more than anything that I am praying for in my life.

I do know that God is in control and I believe that I am being taught quite a bit in the meantime. Mostly to depend on Him for the things that I need.

Fasting and Praying...

God is teaching me:

Matthew chapters 5-7
Galatians chapter 5

In a nutshell;

love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance.

I would have to say the biggest ones right now are:

gentleness, longsuffering, and temperance

I'm sure some of you know I need work in these areas....

Sin can be overcome in our everyday lives. As we learn more of God, move closer to him, and more readily accept the Holy Spirt, we will sin less...

quick to listen.... slow to speak and slow to wrath is a teching that i have in my mind continually... Praise God for the Holy Spirit who brings srcipts to our rememberence!

Faith and Trust.

Also how to keep my mouth shut when it's appropriate and using the right words.

Humility

God is currently teaching me to sacrifice my life, and every part of it, to Him. I need to keep putting Him first, rather than anything else, regardless of how good it is.
He's also been teaching me to be humble, and a lot about courage in sharing my faith.

Well, then, Welcome and make yourself at home!

The outstanding thing God is working on me about is although, I can hand over the external things in my life to Him, He is only now
opening my eyes to the reality of turning those things that are internal over to Him.

to spend less time on the internet and more time with Him.........

Peace with oneother,love each other,strength each other,increase our faith through bible reading,and most importantly Trust in the Lord.In what ever situation Jesus is always there for us.

God is teaching me that for my life to be happy I only need him.

I think He is teaching me to think harder about His lessons in the Bible. In general Bible study, I'd just kind of see what's on the outside. But with my devotional readings and an intensive Bible study I've started, I'm learning to read more deeply into what's going on and think more about them.
