The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I will pray for you both. I do have OCD, but I realize this is stressful for family and friends who love and want to help those of us who have this also. I'm unsure if your sister reads these posts, or if you have come across it yourself in search of how to help her. However, if she hasn't looked at this forum for herself, please encourage her to do so. It has helped me tremendously. She is blessed to have a sister who cares so much, but it can be very draining emotionally and mentally for someone trying to help a loved one who has OCD.

Yes.. I will pray for Rebecca too. I hope that she gives this forum a look. Here she will find people who really know what she is feeling and going through and can encourage her heart.
How precious that you care so much for her to write and ask for prayers.
It's so good to hear of a family member who really understands how painful the disorder can be.

I'm glad you found this website. For so long, I didn't know of anyone who could identify with my struggles. Until I opened up to my mother, many years after I began dealing with OCD, I thought I must be the only one. She then confided that she understood me. This website is such an inspiration to so many. I'm very glad you found it and that you have a sister who loves you so much and is willing to offer you her support. Support is very important to a person with OCD. This site definitely offers that.

Please can folk continue to pray for Rebecca, my sister who has OCD. She is in hospital in London at the moment and , perhaps, for the next 7 months. It is an OCD clinic. Thank you so much.
