These are 5 reasons why Young-earth Creationism is not science

1. YEC ignores the scientific method.

2. YEC ignores the scientific evidence.

3. YEC ignores scientific facts.

4. YEC uses Scripture intead of science to justify it's "theory"

5. YEC has been debunked and disproven time and time again, but YEC's refuse to change their "theory".

Considering that there have been several threads dedicated to finding some bit of scientific evidense for YEC that have come up empty, ocean's post is legitament.

Hector is accused of trolling because he repeats the same things that are constantly refuted (sometimes, even often times by other creationists) like the inane 'evolution is an evil religion created by Satan.' Ocean, however, is repeating statements that have been specifically asserted time and time again but not refuted. Often times, as is the case of 'YEC ignores scientific evidense,' refutations against YEC simply result from YEC's failing to answer basic questions about itself.

#6 The conclusion never changes. The aspects of the theory may change as they are forced to accept new evidence, but the end result is always the same. Science on the other hand means that new evidence may result in a total revision of the conclusion. If YEC's had a scientific journal the conclusion section of all the papers would be identical. Hey ocean,

Have you seen my evolution / big bang thread yet? http://www.christianforums.com/threads/23815.html I think most people here are afraid of it. :D

Honestly, I think it was probably closed because of the tragic material that was posted there. When debating the topic at hand, there was no need to conjure up images of torturing children for amusement. I've noticed that few creationists really take the scientific argument to the wall, but in that case there were other extremely valid reasons for thread closing.

I am not quite sure if the world was created 6000 years ago or such.  I you go to the Mountains, or to the ocean, or to caves, or many of the different wonders of the world, it is really hard to believe a earth created in a short time.  I also don't think this contradicts the Bible.  I believe the Bible to be without error and Contextually correct.  I have for a long time believed in a Young earth, but it is really hard to see this when you look at places like the Canadian Rockies.  Now if there is explanations to demonstrate how quickly erosion can take place or how quickly fossils can be created and suck, fine.  But either way  God created a magnificent world.

God did create a magnificent habitat for us.

Billy Graham has asserted that there are four major ways that God uses to speak to us, which include revelation in nature and revelation in scripture. Since they should not contradict each other, if you think they do, you probably need to examine the evidence from both directions. I suggest that if you think that scripture and science seem to be contradicting each other, it is very likely that you either do not understand what science is actually presenting or that you do not fully understand what the Bible may be saying--or both. In other words, it may be time to check both the most credible scientific sources available, and to check what the actual Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek scriptures say--and what the range of meanings is for the words and phrases in question.

why does everyone keep doing a YEC thread, No matter what the **** [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] bible says. The world has been here for billions+ years, if they can't get that though headed then who cares. There not going to believe anything unless it says it in the bible. Just stop repeating threads it gets boring. :)
